He needs to pick Kamala and keep it pushing.
No one is going to be impressed by who he picks - he'll get the accolades -

No, Biden didn’t. BUT Clyburn was pushing hard for it because he felt Biden owed him for the endorsement/SC win.Did Biden ever say it was going to be a black woman I thought he said "woman"
think Susan Rice is the worst pick.
Never ran for public office. And yes, she knows about governing but what foreign policy is there to really be proud of?
No troll:
Would you guys be upset if he picks say Liz Warren and not a person of color for VP?
This is a layup. The choice is obvious. Don't fukk this up, Joe.
They also might think she would be a liability with independents who see her as too far to the left. (That would hurt her in 2024 much more than 2020 but it's still something to consider.)
Yeah, seeing a lot of this on twitter, the replies to those tweets I posted are some examplesIt feels like black women are trying to bully Biden into picking a black woman though. So I'll be shocked if it wasn't Kamala Harris.
I guess it would depend on how she runs in 2024. If she runs as a progressive again by "expanding on what we did" that could be problematic with independents who may see her as too far to the left. Especially in comparison to a moderate conservative. If she runs as a moderate liberal that would be more benefitical but the GOP will probably use her plans from the 2020 campaign to paint her as an out of control too much government progressive who isn't authentic in her sudden moderate shift. I'm not sure what the end result of that would be. And she could lose hype from progressives. She could probably work through that ok though.Interesting, why do you say this? I would imagine that being 2nd in command in the white house for an entire term would significantly curtail concerns about her being some unmoored commie who would run the country into the ground if she gained power.

I still think Kamala is the likeliest pick, but Liz is really a tier above everyone else in the running when it comes to...you know...doing the actual job. She was the first major politician and presidential candidate to release a plan to confront Coronavirus...back in fukkin January man. She's literally begging to be allowed to govern while everyone else is p*ssyfooting around. It's a layup.

@the next guy is talking about those crazy KHive people on Twitter
I agree with all of this. The only bw vp pick that moves the needle is Michelle Obama. Everything else is just pandering. I’m around black women all the time and not a single one of them gives a crap about Rice or Harris. They do care about Bottoms an Stacy Abrams, but they aren’t experienced enough to b vp. Liz Warren is though.Honestly, having a large Black family who is pretty open about debating political issues, I don't see huge passion for Biden having a BW VP pick over Biden getting Trump out of the paint. The DNC needs to stop obsessing over the MSNBC talking heads and Blue Check Twitter. I hate to say this but BW turnout isn't swinging this election and neither Harris nor Rice is going to energize BM to get to the polls.
I'm going to enjoy the Coli threads though responding to the vast Twitter backlash if he doesn't pick Harris though
I’m not even on board with it having to be a woman, so I certainly wouldn’t be mad at warrenNo troll:

I'm not sold at all that the 2024 Democratic nominee has to be the 2020 VP. I see no reason why there can't be another Democratic primary in 2024. I think it's much more important to the Democratic Party (and the country) to have the Biden administration actually do the work of putting in place policies to fix the myriad structural issues that have led to this fukked up situation. Otherwise, the VP from a do-nothing Biden administration that will be facing strong headwinds and apathy as the Republican nominee (accurately) paints them as not up to the task. In fact, for the party's sake, I hope a do-nothing VP would be challenged and defeated in the 2024 primary by someone who actually wants to govern. Let's re-roll 1968.If warren was Kamala’ sage, she’d make the most sense and be the best pick. I can’t see him picking someone who’ll be 74 in 2024 to be the VP/de facto lead candidate
