Has Susan Rice ever held an elected position? Being able to run in a campaign is not for everyone.

I think if she hasn't, that is a major liability.

Irrelevant considering someone with over two decades of government experience, most of which came in the WH.

How is campaigning irrelevant? That is how you win elections.

Sitting behind a desk for 20 years doesn't mean you can connect with people, especially if 2024 you will be looked at as someone who will run in the general.

Now you're just being stupid.

This posts tells me all I need to know about your political rationale.

Have a good day breh :unimpressed:

Again that’s going to ring hollow with a lot of people. It’s kind of a silly argument in general and in this climate. Her son has no standing in politics so he’s not influencing much of anyone. Most people get that children are not their parents and eventually go there own way.

If America cared more about resume than silly arguments then Hillary would have landslided Trump in 2016.

Really step back and think how that’s a good attack point for them to “undecided” voters. It’s flat not a factor in actual campaign.
I agree it’s a silly argument, but a lot of aspects of politics are silly. The optics of it aren’t good and people do care about politicians families.

A lot of people want to banish/annihilate Trumpism from America and the fact that the VP has a son that’s a Trump supporter is disgusting.

I don’t think picking Rice would make Biden lose the election but I don’t think picking Rice would help Biden win the election.

Let’s not complicate things and just pick Harris or Warren :yeshrug:

We're talking about the Vice President, what is wrong with y'all? :dwillhuh:

Between August and November, Rice will have to give television interviews, give a myriad of speeches and debate Mike Pence's replacement. I am quite sure a Rhodes Scholar who was a whole ass ambassador to the UN where she had to do everything that she would be asked to do up until the election could handle that. LOL @ sitting behind a desk, ya'll are hilarious.

I flat don't think it's a playable optic especially since her son has no public standing.

Yeah her experience alone ensures she will be 100% prepared. Can she connect is a valid question but again you could ask that of virtually every other name and there is nothing to suggest she "can't".

She's got the life experience to play to all sides, with great speech writers she will be able to connect with black folks as a black women who rose up through hard work while staring down adversity in a white male driven profession. Experiencing working for the first black president while managing diversity with an interracial relationship and a child with their own political ideals. All she has to do is focus on leadership - something she has been setting the stage for in her interviews this past year and in her book - and how that is her guiding principle where she has experience, has confidence in Biden being able to demonstrate that and why that is everything Trump isn't to capture the white moderate and R vote.

Her story is perfect for the trail during everything we're seeing now with race relations.

I agree, but like I said the Republicans will still try to use family members against the candidates
Of course they will, we know that mudslinging is something they've always specialized in and has become a major part of our political system. But at the end of the day, who's mind is that going to change or who is that going to sway?
