That rebranding looking sketch as hell right now.
People said the same thing after Bush. Best believe by 2024, which is still a good ways away, they will find a way to repackage their "muh FreEdOm" "the DeBt and DeFiCit" talking points.
That rebranding looking sketch as hell right now.
I wouldn't go that far. She'd be a better pick than Harris. No, she would be a horrible pick.
No, the hell she would notI wouldn't go that far. She'd be a better pick than Harris.
I don't think you fully understand who Susan Rice is.No, the hell she would not
Started having similar thoughts thus the question......I don't think you fully understand who Susan Rice is.
She's a fairly accomplished black woman (Brookings Institute fellow) ...check.
She's 55 years old, so age isn't a concern....check.
She has worked closely with Biden in the past, she knows how the WH is supposed to function....check.
She was a US Ambassador, server on the NSC and National Security Advisor. There is no other woman on Biden's list who has that type of experience or could be that useful as VP....check.
She is not an activist or overly outspoken individual who wouldn't scare the moderates...check.
The only blemishes on her would be image related but are not serious - her supposed illegal meeting with Clinton on the tarmac, that's been debunked and she broke typical protocol of ex-officials about keeping their opinions about their colleagues out of the media when she called Turtle Mitch a lying piece of sh*t on one of the Pod Save episodes. And for the black militant twitter brigade, like Harris, she's married to a white man.
None of those are deal breakers. Matter of fact, those could be used to her advantage if need be.
The more I think about it, she is probably Biden's best candidate and will more than like be his pick.
With the way things are trending I don’t think where they are now is a success. Freedom Caucus while vile in many a way worked but they abandoned that for Trump and is headed towards a washout.People said the same thing after Bush. Best believe by 2024, which is still a good ways away, they will find a way to repackage their "muh FreEdOm" "the DeBt and DeFiCit" talking points.
The right will spin this against Biden and the Dems as a Leftist coupI don't think you fully understand who Susan Rice is.

EDIT: And a quick search on her - her parents were incredibly fcking accomplished, wow I didn't even know these things. She's got legit VP stock as a DC native, daughter of one of the designers of the Pell Grant and second black governor of the Federal Reserve.
Biden doesn't need help in any of those regards. Biden said it himself yesterday.I don't think you fully understand who Susan Rice is.

What is reasonably leftists about RiceThe right will spin this against Biden and the Dems as a Leftist coup
We need smooth transitions....the Hillary Debacle was an unforced error and we all see that now
Harris or Warren. That's it.
Saying no one would take her seriously is a reach man. She has credentials.Biden doesn't need help in any of those regards. Biden said it himself yesterday.
Also, those image issues would be a bigger concern for Rice because her son is Republican & Trump supporter (that would make the White husband thing a bigger deal than in Harris's case). That's highly embarrassing. Furthermore, she has held no elective office and thrusting Susan Rice of all people potentially into the Presidency would be extremely ill-advised. We don't even know what her policies positions are or how she would work with Congress. No one would take Susan Rice as VP or POTUS seriously.
Additionally, she has the Benghazi thing that would follow her around and Biden would be stupid to willing put Benghazi back in the spotlight. Finally, just this past week, she was saying that U.S. should have a MANDATORY national conscription service. She would be a horrible pick, period.

It's a hyberbole.Saying no one would take her seriously is a reach man. She has credentials.
Exactly. This all screams Secretary of state IMO not VP.

This posts tells me all I need to know about your political rationale.Who said anything about him needing help? His VP pick is about his pleasing his constituents and those who are jumping off the Trump train.
And Trump and his children have historically given money to and supported Democrats in the past - that's an irrelevant point that has no bearing on her governance since she's served under multiple Democratic administrations over the last 20+ years, how does that all of a sudden become a problem?
Holding elected office is not a requirement or concern for VP, so why is it relevant now? Because the rest of the list consists of Senators? The current president is a reality TV star - again this has no relevance.
As VP, her policies only need to align with Biden's because she doesn't get to make policy decisions. We can effectively say she's going to work well with Congress since she was unanimously confirmed for NSA by the Senate. Clearly Senate Republicans don't have too much an issue with her.
Benghazi is a Fox News talking point that no one outside of its viewership cares about. The investigation spanned years, millions of dollars and was officially declared nothing.
None of these talking points make any real difference to Biden's base, the moderates and dissenting Republicans.
