That’s the usual route but that’s a fair question. The gambit is that if the ticket is a one term ticket where does the party go after that. Also say Dems dont win the Senate. Biden essentially becomes a lame duck and 2024 becomes a massive fight. Overall Dems haven’t groomed much of anyone so they got issues there.
