No, if the crowd cares, then he is a star. I can list a lot of people given opportunities as main eventers who were rejected and did NOT become stars
  • Jack swagger
  • Ryback
  • Ezekiel Jackson
  • Alberto del Rio after his initial run
  • Almost all of the ruthless agression meatheads like Luther reigns, heidenrich, pulombo, etc
A DRAW and a STAR are different in this conversation

So Jinder Mahal two weeks after becoming a #1 contender is already a STAR, but RYBACK and Swagger weren't?

:hhh:

You gonna have to explain that one

Jackswagger was absolutely not a star. Stop it. After the cm punk match, Ryback was killed, not a star

In fact if you want a "star" vs "not a star" gauge look at Ryback before and after he fell off.

A star is someone who is over and the crowd cares about. I can't believe this is even a discussion.

Braun is legit, but I'll wait to see how he fares in a feud against Brock ( if that happens, that is).
Alexa runs the risk of becoming overly saturated with these quick title gains, but her character is solid nonetheless.
Jinder is still :mjlol: to me so far, so I'll just wait till he wins the title or not to give my assessment.

I'm not really sure about "stars", but these are worthy people to have in wrestling today.

And how do you think Jinder will be viewed after the Orton match???

Swagger was a career mid-carder who nobody bought as a top guy and the crowd reacted accordingly. Basically the exact same thing with Jinder, except he looks and acts like a terrorist so he gets a little more boos, but you out here acting like he getting Iron Sheik in the mid 80s heat :mjlol:

You can't separate "star" from "draw" it's one in the same. If they CARE they'll spend money. That's how the wrestling business always has and always will work.

And that is definitely the case with Braun and Alexa, and appears like it will be with Jinder.

You're trying to create an argument.

Until he wasn't. I agree he WAS a star. He is a prime example of what I'm talking about. Just people that are showcased and over.

Tsc gets in the gayest arguments about semantics and language WAY too much when you know what the fukk I'm talking about.

But... don't you get that's why people say WWE can't make stars. Because you had a dude who legitimately was over, had the look, was moving merch, and they blew it with him.

He legit DID have a chance to be a star. Doesn't mean he was sure fire, but he was right there getting reactions near Cena level for a while. But they didn't finish the job and he never became a true star. To lump him in with someone like Swagger or Jinder is INSULTING.

To lump jinders current space with where Ryback ended, is just as insulting.

Nah my man you're arguing against a talking point that nobody is actually saying. The "WWE can't make stars" thing is always about their inability to create the next needle mover in the industry.

If you want to say WWE can create popular wrestlers, or something resembling a star, there's millions of better examples than fukking Jinder fukking Mahal and Alexa Bliss.

Such as: The Shield.

What is his current space? Getting cheap anti-american heat so he can be fed to Orton on the PPV?

That's a star to you?

When people chanted YOU LOOK STUPID at Sheamus that doesn't mean they cared. That didn't make him a star.

There really ISNT a better example the Braun Strowman. The shed has been pushed for four years straight and Strowman is more over than all of them and he is a pure WWE creation unlike Ambrose and Rollins. Bliss is over, and the crowd is engaged in what she does. That's unarguable. I include Mahal because the crowd cares about him already, and he is a new star. And people say WWE doesn't create new stars.

Do the people care about him?
Does he get heat?
Is he more interesting than the current feud the champion is in?

More over than ROMAN REIGNS? Negro please.

Aside from that, don't you see the fallacy in your entire thread premise in arguing the Shield's four year run, or Ryback's entire run vs. where Strowman currently is? You can't compare the two without knowing the end result, because the end result is THE ENTIRE REASON why people argue that WWE can't create new stars. A year from now after Strowman is fed to Reigns again, and Lesnar, you're gonna look back and be like "yeah, well, at one time he was over" same with Ryback.

Braun Strowman is absolutely more over than Roman reigns. There is no way reigns would get a big show main event over like Strowman.
