Brooklyn
-Was 4 minutes away from not even making the Playoffs. Down against CHI with less than 4 mins remaining. Ends up winning the game. Entered the Playoffs as the 8 seed
-Took Down the team with the best record in the league. DPOY candidates Jrue Holiday and Brook Lopez. Both were 1st team all-defense. Jrue was voted by the players as the best perimeter defender in the league. Jimmy Packed them up in 5
-Play against the Knicks. Injured his ankle in the 1st game. Managed to come back and pack up the Knicks in 6 games
-Went up against the Celtics. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are both All-NBA players. Tatum was a top 5 MVP candidate. Had the 2nd best record in the league, and was looking to get to the finals again. They were much better and much more experienced than they were in 2018. Heat won in 7
-Became the first 8 seed to make the finals in a full 82 game season, including 2 play-in games. Historic
-Lets not forget: the heat lost Herro, Oladipo, and Gabe Vincent also rolled his ankle in the middle of the celtics series. The Second best player Jimmy had against BOS was undrafted player Caleb Martin.
-Jimmy got to the finals (and 1 game away from the finals last season) with a team of undrafted players. LeBron would be trying to trade them with picks to get another all-star on the team

LeBron's Runs:
-beating an injured 60-win hawks team full of role players and glue guys. The Budenholzer hawks, aka the Horford Hawks
-Beating the Andre Drummond Pistons
-Beating the Marcus Smart celtics in 2015
-Needing 7 games to beat the victor oladipo Pacers
-Beating the DeRozan/Lowry raptors
-Sweeping the Gilbert Arenas Wizards
-Beating the .500 Nets in R2
-The most impressive win was beating the Billups Pistons
-The Heatles isn't even worth discussing seeing as how he teamed up with 2 of the other top 10 players in the league in the primes of their careers. Not to mention they all took pay cuts to get a team of elite role players and veterans to add to the team.

Warriors stans trying to downplay the team that just destroyed them is the weirdest fukking strategy.

You know that team we just lost to? Well, they SUCK! And that means their star sucks! While our star...oh, wait, let's back up for a second....

Not sure if it really should be the first Western Conference playoff lose, cause Bron already sent y'all home in the play-in too. :russ:

Warriors elite run started 10 years ago. How many dynasties last that long?

The Lakers beating them is nothing to sneeze at, but it's also not as huge as you're making it

If Jimmy Butler wins a ring with this team I have to rearrange my all time top 10 player list :patrice:

I think you're crowning Bam a little too fast. :skip:

Does how Jimmy actually plays in the next 3-5 games even matter? Or you gonna crown him based on team result alone? If he goes 5-21 while Caleb Martin shoots the lights out and Bam outplays Jokic, then what?

Why tho? Heat is more like the 03-04 Pistons than the 00-01 76’ers. No clear superstar carrying them. :patrice:

Jimmy hasn't had a spectacular game since the first round and he's being talked about as if he were superior to Hakeem.

This whole thing would be fukking bizarre if it weren't so Coli. The games don't matter, the stats don't matter, they literally just look at the names on the rosters and decide who should get accolades based off relative rep alone.

Is Jimmy's play this postseason really even better than 2019 Kawhi or 2021 Giannis, much less actual greats?

Jimmy butler has been absolutely horrendous since the series vs the knicks.
Caleb Martin was the best player against the Boston celtics and should have won the ECFMVP.
He scored 13 points in game 1 and cost his team the victory and now scores 21 points on 7-19 shooting. He is not even the best player on his own team on the biggest stage. Further proof the premise of the thread is asinine and nonsensical

Jimmy has been absolutely horrendous this nba finals. There is no excuse going 7-19 he is lucky he got bailed out by his team mates

Jimmy butler hasn't had a good series since they played the NY knicks. He didn't deserve the ECF mvp it was caleb Martin that carried that team. He choked In game 1 vs denver with 13 points and choked again in game 2 7-19 from the field goal.
Go home Roger! :umad:

This Miami Heat team is nowhere near the that caliber! Pistons??? With Ben Wallace, Rasheed Wallace, Billups, Hamilton, Prince??? That was a fukking SQUAD!!!
Not saying the Heat is on their level, offensively or defensively. I’m saying the focus on pure team basketball is similar.

“Playoff Jimmy” hasn’t been a thing for like 7 games straight. If he has big moments later on in the series, his teammates picking up the slack would be the main reason he got the opportunity to power up. Just Saiyan. :manny:
