Jimmy Butler traded to Philly for Robert Covington and Dario Saric. Jimmy plans to re-sign.

Where will Jimmy land?

People love saying athletes like Jimmy Buttler (better than most, not superstar material) are Superstars because it:

Gives journalists stuff to fill shows with
Gives GMs reason to increase ticket prices
Fans something to feel hyped about

Fact is: Terry Rozier has achieved more in the NBA than Jimmy Butler.

He's a non-factor in May. When you are a non-factor in May you're not a Superstar.

If LeBron can lead those Cavs to the Finals.. and you can't lead the Bulls or Wolves to the Playoffs... you're not a Superstar.

When you're the man because you have the scoring talent and the height and the power which makes you the best around avg players... you're not a Superstar.

Potential: sky high
Reality: better than most, no Superstar

Best part is how the media is trying to turn this into "he doesn't want to play with LeBron". Uhm, the Lakers don't want him, he knows that. The end.

ONE dominant Playoff series performance, and we can talk about Jimmy Butler again.

:wow: you went in deep
He can be a third option maybe second on a championship winning team. That is his peak.
Victor oladipo has accomplished more than him and victor is not nearly as respected or mentioned among the elites as jimmy butler. I do not see a jimmy butler led pacers taking bron to game 7.

I will give him credit he was one of the main reasons the timberwolves made the playoffs but the team was decent. Also what do you mean by lead? The wolves made the playoffs.

How the hell are you gonna type out all this cotdamn nonsense and not realize that Butler led both the Bulls and Wolves to the playoffs?

Lord have mercy.

He's good, just not face of the franchise good if you want that franchise to do something in the playoffs. He's a great No. 2 though.

This muh'fukka really just said Terry Rozier has achieved more in the league..... TERRY MUH'fukkEN ROZIER. Someone hand me something right now so I can throw it at this cotdamn fool.

i think he means terry was the starting point guard and a huge part of his team getting to the eastern conference finals. Jimmy butler has never come close to being one game away from the nba finals.

I dont understand this logic. Jimmy and Kawhi are on the same age timeline as the Warriors, there is no "waiting out" their run.

It's not about age. Things like free agency, jealousy, injuries can also put end to these dynasties

What a mess in the Timberwolves organization right now. It would be a bad idea to drag this drama out into the new season while Jimmy's trade value continues to crumble. They should move him asap. Don't worry about the loss in the Bulls trade, just get the best value you can now.
