This is the correct reaction.

Cornette was wrong for this (it's not 1985 anymore, you just can't say shyt like this), but you're delusional if you don't think his version of old school Southernness is a whole lot better than that of many other Southern white wrestlers, up to and including actual Nazis and Klansmen. And don't forget that all the old school types and old school fetishists in the NWA hired him knowing he'd say something like this, let it happen, and did nothing in post-production about it.

Basically, if you're cancelling Cornette, but not also cancelling damn near every other white Southern wrestler from the 80s (definitely including Ric Flair's Jesse Helms loving ass here; Hip-Hop's recent embrace of him is a true embarrassment), reassess your priorities.

:patrice:

This is a taped/recorded show. So someone let this line slip.

Wait a minute.........

Dave Lagana, who is a SWS

Yep, that's it.

I knew Corgan BEEN on some bullshyt (no one who willingly kicks it with Alex Jones multiple times isn't), but since I literally don't care about Lagana's existence, I didn't know. But apparently he's on that shyt too. So fukk em all. Hope NWA flops.

Clear example of the issue at hand here.

We're piling on Cornette, who probably doesn't hate black people and see them as inferior so much as he has very retrograde opinions of how one should refer and talk to black people (call it racism either way, just different types), but you're celebrating using a gif of a guy who not only has those same kinds of retrograde opinions, but also actively did not want to put non-white wrestlers in prominent positions while booking (Booker T's the exception, but those were very extenuating circumstances).

The cognitive dissonance is real with wrestling fans.
