To be fair, he been eating fine off his podcast and his merch sales, and neither of those things are liable to be impacted by this given the target audience. If anything, NWA is more likely to be hurt because:
1) they coulda dubbed that out and quietly let him go instead of airing it,
and,
2) the podcast was sending traffic toward the show, and there will be people who stop watching it over him no longer being there, but I don't see a lot of people leaping to watch NWA more now that he's gone, leading to a net loss.
He wrong as a muthafukka for it. I don't think it was intentionally racist so much as drastically, dramatically ill-conceived, seeing as it's a thing he's said before and the poverty angle of it, but he has to figure out the times and the things that should and shouldn't be said. And that's always been my opinion of Cornette - not necessarily a bad person, just someone who has settled into a mindset that is long outdated and doesn't give a shyt enough to try and change it. But... then again, ignorance is the foundation to most racism in this country, so he really shouldn't get a pass for it.
