I’d never heard that racist clip from Cornette before till this thread. That’s fukked up, he was a talented manager but clearly racist and fukked up to say those comments. He should be ashamed of himself. The other comments recently are dumb and in bad taste, stupid thing to say. You can tell from a lot of his views anyway that he’s outdated, I only listened to his podcasts with the wrestling reviews because he can have an entertaining delivery but this is some bullshyt. He should be removed from his position and outcasted from the business at this point. He’s an embarrassment and disgrace. You could tell he was a hypocrite from his critiques but clearly there’s darker shyt going on with him also. He’s tarnished his legacy with this hugely. The casual audience is steadily decreasing and doesn't look like its going to trend back upward. The majority of the people who still watch wrestling are people you probably don't want to associate with (due to weirdos and racists with bad hygiene).

Cornette was wrong for this (it's not 1985 anymore, you just can't say shyt like this), but you're delusional if you don't think his version of old school Southernness is a whole lot better than that of many other Southern white wrestlers, up to and including actual Nazis and Klansmen. And don't forget that all the old school types and old school fetishists in the NWA hired him knowing he'd say something like this, let it happen, and did nothing in post-production about it.
Basically, if you're cancelling Cornette, but not also cancelling damn near every other white Southern wrestler from the 80s (definitely including Ric Flair's Jesse Helms loving ass here; Hip-Hop's recent embrace of him is a true embarrassment), reassess your priorities.
