Man, y'all just don't know. Topics like this get me heated!
I hate to hear stuff like Ms. Scott is saying.
I IMPLORE you ALL to read (if you haven't already) the Willie Lynch letter. Everything he is saying in there is STILL TRUE TO THIS DAY!!!!
to keep your "slaves" in check (yes I'm paraphrasing) you take their differences and pit em against each other...Light vs. Dark, Young vs. Old, Male vs. Female
and I'm POSITIVE almost everyone on here can find an example of each of those. Jay Z and Harry Belafonte, how people treat darker skinned people (especially women) vs how they treat fairer skinned AA's...and what Ms Scott said could be the example of our females vs our males...
I said that to say this...Willie Lynch or whoever, they got it right. He was EXACTLY right and they have run his "plan" to perfection. We're still "slaves" to them, only thing is, we CHOOSE to keep the chains on this time...

no, i meant what i said.I think tolerate is the word you're looking for.
The fukkery that will be seen in the thread I make later onno, i meant what i said.
if you go out of your way to listen to a man shyt on you, something might be wrong with you
People don't understand that all this separation is destroying us. I had this face the entire time I read the Willie Lynch letter
Whenever I see the light skin vs dark skin warMan, I did too...why? Cuz your eyes and mind open because you thinking of 1000's of examples right off top of your head, that you can compare what was said then, to TODAY'S times...Not even in the sixties but in the NEW MILLENNIUM...crazy
no, i meant what i said.

Do you mean hop into the next relationship or chop it up with your uncles or male cousins to give the son some guidance?Troll thread from Chris b.
But Fact of the matter is just like it takes a man and a woman to create a child it takes a man and a woman to raise one properly. If one is missing in the picture either the mom or dad you find the next possible replacement of that sex to teach them the traits, discipline, and morals you would like to instill in them. A man cant teach a girl how to be a woman the same way a woman cant teach a boy how to be a man. I dont know what jill scott says but this is my OPINION.
explain? To be perfectly honest, I think for some it helps to reinforce the victim mentality some of them have.
I'm glad that it turned out that she did not actually say what some scumbag pretended she did. You need both parents to raise a child with the most chance of success, that is undeniable. Any situation without both parents is a situation in which that child is disadvantaged. I don't know where I'd be without my father.
However, for the men complaining, you can't have it both ways. The same men up in arms now are the same ones who blame women solely for pregnancy occurring. The ones who pretend only women make a decision to have the sex that creates the baby or blame women solely for being single mothers because women "chose the men". If you hold that opinion, you are all but basically calling men expendable/accessories. And there's nothing different between saying that and saying male role models aren't necessary.
I mean, if only the woman's actions matter up until that point according to you, you are foolish to believe that people should just accept a change up once the baby is born just because you are now in your feelings about it being stated openly that you are unnecessary.
All your other viewpoints on pregnancy and parenting match that sentiment, so you can blame yourself for the shift.
so.. what exactly is the man responsible for, then? Is seems like you guys like to blame women for the short comings of men.Women ultimately have the most power when it comes to child bearing, whether it's from choosing to have raw sex to deciding to keep the baby or not. Not saying that it's all on women but the main responsibility and decision making resides with them...and they need to make better choices. Also, no woman should ever fix their brain to think that male role models are unnecessary...no matter the circumstances.
Women are powerless until they become pregnant.Women ultimately have the most power when it comes to child bearing, whether it's from choosing to have raw sex to deciding to keep the baby or not.
