I'm only asking because if he ain't 100% I'm not tryna see him pitch twice in the opening series. ALCS/World Series yeah, go with CC.
You start CC throughout the playoffs and i wouldn't even think twice about starting him on short rest...Despite the injury and his struggles he is by far our best starting pitcher...You have to have faith in him because without him we're not winning shyt...

Yankees manager Joe Girardi said Teixeira might have to deal with his left wrist injury for the rest of the season. "We'll have to see when he goes through some drills tomorrow how he feels," Girardi said. "We might have a late lineup or a lineup change depending on what happens. But we're going to give it a day and see where he is tomorrow." Teixeira hasn't played in the weekend series against the Red Sox. Offseason surgery is a distinct possibility.

in fairness, at best that trade so far is an incomplete. Now if Montero was doing Mike Trout numbers Cashman would be getting killed, but Pineda hasn't even had the chance to fail yet. (his home /road splits are crazy though)

True but its not looking good and felt like seattle knew something about Pineda we didn't. You know this Ichiro trade is good money though, he gonna thrive in ny for sure.

saying Ichiro could ever make up for Pineda is assisine, whats he giving you a decent half season ? Montero is gonna be a beast for years, I dont go by his numbers in the worst lineup in baseball and the worst hitters park in baseball. In this lineup at YS he wouldve beasted already. But even in Seattle hes gonna improve, let him learn the pitchers and all that.

And even IF healthy Pineda is nothing special, 101 era+ last season, lost velocity, is having a surgery a lot of guys dont come back from, its not tommy jon hes having. This trade is a bust already and some old chinaman having a DECENT half season dont com close to making up for it.

Now playoff question, if Arod comes back, for the offs, shouldnt he DH? I mean Chavez >>>>Ibanez and Arod > Ibanez but Chavez >>>Arod at 3rd base.

:russ: at counting down the magic number from 37.

We have to see about that next year. Hopefully Pineda can win 15+ games, I dont think that's too much to ask
15+ games be happy if the guy pitches next year.

The one problem is Chavez himself will tell you he can't play the field everyday besides Arod isn't really a big issue defensively at 3rd.
