I agree, but my point is that he does do things. All of them however don't.

Let's keep it 100, you got folks like Jamie Foxx looking like he hearing the gospel, but won't change a damn thing. Not enough folks trying to make moves, and we stay stagnant.
Thats my point. We got enough people saying. We need more people doing.

TLR has always been that way. The rest of the forum is fine.
It's pitiful. The first thing I did after watching that speech was rewind it and black it for my son. Watched it a third time with my girl and all I could feel was pride. But of course, you come to this miserable ass site to see if people are appreciating it and of course that isn't the case.

This site is a cesspool. Pure garbage. Miserable people leading miserable lives

How you can watch this and not be proud is beyond me. How you can watch this, and the first thing that comes to your mind is what his mother looks like is beyond me.

How you can watch him give a speech about oppression, group economics, police brutality and black love, only to criticize his skin tone immediately after is beyond me.

How you can't appreciate a man with a black wife, speaking truths that black people need to hear is beyond me.

@ridedolo youre terrible. Really. Just terrible. In here trying to divide blacks like that. In here claiming you're pro black but creating negativity in a black space where the things that need to be talked about are being talked about. You're full of shyt.

Cacs created the black terminology. There's no such race as black, and black people never classified themselves as black before white people.
There's no such thing has a black race in reality but for sake of continuity we use the term black.

I agree with you biracials aren't black, the problem is people pick in choose when to claim biracials and when not to.

Ali's Grandfather was white from Ireland, so his mama wasn't black, so if his mama wasn't black, he's not black, but nikkaz love to claim when he called Fraiser a gorilla in front of all of America, and now you got white boxers like Sergei Kovalev wearing Gorilla T-shirts mocking his opponent.

nikkaz get mad at Madonna for repping prince, when he just as white as steph curry, Prince getting honored at the BET awards and he waffled colored.

Michael Jackson bleeched his skin and cut off his nose, yet nikka still make excuses for him.

Stop picking and choosing who's black and who's not when the circumstances are the same.

Sade ain't black, Halle berry ain't black, Lisa Raye ain't black, Dame Dash ain't black, Uncle Phil wasn't black, Prince ain't black, so and so for

clean house, stay the ship and have a clear definition to make no mistakes.

ya'll make things too complicated.

if u have a white parent and a black parent, you're biracial. it's really quite simple breh. :heh:

It's not fake outrage to expect tax paid public service employees of the law to follow the law and be upheld to that same law.
Also many people are doing things concerning the violence but the media doesn't cover it until something crazy or controversial happens. News does not care about neighborhood/communities working together. its boring to them. it doesn't give ratings. Now a kid jumping on a cop car with an uzi? HELLO CNN

Also who is supplying things that create the violence? hmm? Black people dont buy guns at walmart. Where did coke come from? Black people didn't bring that into the states? Who gets loans for small businesses faster/easier? hmm? How many banks kept blacks from getting into good neighborhoods and living better economical lives? hmm...always addressing the symptoms never the root cause.

for heavens sake segregation ended in 1964. it takes time for black people to pull themselves out of the bs they have to and still deal with. but we gon be alright
You should be upset when police kill black people.,you should also show the same amount of outrage when we do it to one another.

Guns don't kill people, people kill people by CHOICE.

So in other words, your're black Americans have no control over our actions?Just because I gain access to a gun, either through the proper legal channels or through some government plot that drops them off in my community, doesn't mean that I'm so void of self control that I MUST kill another black person with that gun.

I reject that logic.

Good neighborhoods.

What does that mean?

PEOPLE make GOOD neighborhoods.

If black Americans would changed the way we behave in the neighborhood we already occupy, there wouldn't be a need to leave for "good neighborhoods " nut unless you believe the people occupying neighborhoods are a lost cause and it's better to move?

Again, this goes back to black Americans not wanting to fix or even address the real problems.

Your idea of a good neighborhood is leaving the dysfunctionalast ghetto and moving around whites?

:heh: dividing blacks by accurately calling people with a white and black parent biracial?

How these people in the Audience didn't just strip naked of all the glitter and gold and jewels after that.

shyt is I respect his actions more than anything. But him being a half breed that looks white allows him privileges darker individuals don't obtain.

If he would've spoke on that aspect he would've changed many more minds. But it's like him not addressing his skin tone leaves too much to be interpreted by these simple fukks who will discredit him.

I disagree. I would say a majority of "black people" in America are mixed with a variety of things. Under white supremacy, mixed people are certainly not white and get discriminated just like "black people", maybe to a lesser, but still significant, extent. :yeshrug:
Mulattos are more likely to be hired over black people. More likely to receive lighter jail sentences. And are perceived to be more intelligent. If you want to pretend that white people don't see themselves in mulattos then fine, but I am not so naive. And if you don't see the irony in the idea of a half white mulatto preaching empty messages to a bunch of dumb rappers on a television channel owned by white people then I don't know what to tell you. I know how protective some of you coli posters are over your precious mulattos, so I'll let you all bask in the glory of this amazing, ground breaking speech....

You aren't ready for the truth.
Enlighten me
Whites established the current social order we're living in.

Whites are the ones setting the rules that determines racial classification in this country.

While your definition of whose black and who isn't black may sound cute to you and your like minded cohorts, its literally irrelevant outside your limited sphere of influence.

Please read this book to understand why racial classifications is way beyond you limited scope of "black and white"

We gotta do more.

That is good and all but we gotta look into other stuff as well so those efforts dont go to waste.

Its like you trying to push the car up the hill doing that which is a good thing but you will need more force to get the car moving.

Something like more of our people supporting and creating black businesses so we can work on a form of a black economy would be a good step to get the car moving up the hill.

Among other things as well.

I knew this was going to be about black businesses. I fukking KNEW you would go there. Why do people think black business and black entrepreneurship would fix black problems? People act as if black businesses don't already exist? We need more, yes, but how in the fukk does that change black plight? Now had you said black banks that give lower interests rates and provide community services for disparate populations then I would have agreed, but black businesses aren't absolutely free from white involvement, nor do they fix problems for others. Community outreach is one of the best ways to get the car moving, because as Jesse Williams said, Knowledge is Power. So much more we could do if we educated others. Honestly shyt all starts with politics. If we could get our hands around the political upheaval going on then we could really make a change. But even if we just did that, we share this country with whites and other minorities. A black politician would have to cater to all of those races/ethnicities in order to get the vote. It's not so fukking simple man.

We'll see the same shyt with dudes filling up they garages with 30 new exotic cars and shyt. Breh..IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SPEECH, flexing his gold chain and shyt.

if it was up to him he'd be 100% black.
:mjlol:
please stop

what makes someone with a white parent different from you

you think cause you have a black mom and dad you're "100%"

out of all the millions of ancestors you got, you really think they all had kids with straight 100% blacks?

:laff::laff::laff::laff::laff::laff::laff:

yall could be the same percentage white and black but you're over here trying to say people with a white parent can't be black?

:camby:
I cant relate to someone that was looking up into some white woman's face saying "mommy":yeshrug:
