Name a comedian who has been cancelled for jokes and exiled/can't make money.
Weird message, some truth, but dumb ass "lib" babble.Its like this. I love comedy and standup. I agree that everything is too wishy washy nowadays and it killed comedy as a whole. But even back in Seinfeld's era, comedians had to walk on eggshells to avoid offending folks.
Hell, Bill Hicks's segment on David Letterman was banned due to his content. The main problem nowadays is trying to evolve the jokes in a modern setting. Look, I'm not going to front, I love a good stereotypical joke but if its on some mean spirited non-funny shyt, of course I'm going to be offended as a black male trapped in a marsupial shell.
Jerry's argument is that he wants the old fashion "whats theeeee deallll with the minorities" bullshyt, rather than maybe, just maybe, its time to step up the funny because the viral tiktawk brehs are murdering comedy. It hurts because I want to laugh without resorting to dig through the blassics once again. Like porn, jokes can be dated as hell.

Exactly what I got from what he said
I was at a comedy show the other week and a teacher had a whole routine about kids being retarded.
No one was offended.
Folks generally into comedy aren't looking to be offended.

The proof is in the pudding, where are all the new prime time comedies, and no im not just talking about network tv. I’m talking about HBO im talking about movies, where is all the great comedies? Kevin Hart alone is the only one getting money to make comedy movies and they are terrible.
The only on-going comedy left on tv is SNL and it’s only good when those “washed” comedians people clown get on there and get their shyt off with their little monologues at the beginning of the show
That's a disingenuous point as it speaks more to the changing landscape of television and late night television and not comedy as a whole in that avenue.

Mainstream comedy has ALWAYS had to bend the knee for a check. That’s the inherent dichotomy between art and consumerism. Towards the end of the last century and the beginning of last century, people have been able to get away with more and more and still remain mainstream. It’s ironic that this new wave of censorship (for the lack of a better word) is coming from liberals because liberals were the main ones pushing the envelope that got us to this point.

Still haven't named a single comedian who has been cancelled, btw.
HBO has been greenlighting comedies for years now. With Curb Your Enthusiasm ending they're trying to find a new hot comedy. Speaking of SNL, didn't they just have Shane Gillis on there as host? A guy who got fired for telling a racist joke, got more popular and then returned? Which proves no one is getting cancelled.
Comedy movies come out all the time. Ricky Stanicky came out last month. Are comedies as hot as action or horror films right now? No. But again, that has nothing to do with "wokeness" ruining the genre. People are just gravitating towards other genres.
But Jerry worked clean his entire career
