I guess it's "woke" to point out that Seinfeld shouldn't have been "dating" a 17 year old when he was 39
That doesn’t change what he’s saying

There's a difference self reflection and modesty compared a lot of jokes and antics that have been said and done over the years and calling it comedy. You’re essentially saying comedy as an art form is an outdated concept because the truth is people don’t want to laugh or poke fun of themselves anymore.
There is no such thing as good comedy without some form of self reflection and modesty

You're doing the exact same thing that Jerry is doing.
And some of it should be outraged and taken down because it should have never been socially acceptable in the first place. All comedy and satire isn't the same and it's disingenuous to sit here and pretend like it is.Naw because the entertainment these days is being outraged and mad and going on twitter and trying to take people down. Society has decided that being angry is more entertaining than being funny
The only comedy that has survived is meme culture

You and Jerry can spin it however you want, but that point still stands.
If Jerry is as great of a comedian as you and others say he is, then surely he can adapt with the changing of times and culture.
Just went to X to check if he's getting backlash and sure enough they're bringing up him dating a 17 year old when he was 38.
Some of it was problematic and it's disingenuous to sit here and argue otherwiseUntil you can point out someone doing comedy ‘the right way’ then this has no meaning. Because you aren’t really giving examples of things to counteract what bad comedy or socially unacceptable comedy is.
All your arguement boil down to “comedy was bad back then” and now that there aren’t a plethora of budding new comedians or comedic shows all the evidence points to what Jerry is saying. They killed the art form with moral grand standing.
It’s like if the NBA stopped allowing dunking because it resulted in too much long term injuries for the players. Yeah, the players are safer but interest in basketball would plummet
Katt Williams broke it down really well
In other words, comedians need to get with the times and get good

Some of those jokes that Al was using towards Marcy would definitely not be socially acceptable today especially considering that he had actually had towards her when he used it. You're proving my point without even realizing it.
Using dunking and the NBA is a terrible comparison so surely you could come up with a better example to defend your argument.
And you still haven't given me a legitimate reason as to why Jerry's complaint is valid other than that's how it "used to be"But you still haven’t given me a proper example of good comedy
he has the money, but zero creativityHe has a billion dollars he can make his own gawddamn tv show tho... it irks me to see rich white men cry when they have tons of resources at their disposal... stop crying like a bytch and do something about it...
Hasn't he?
