Not sure how much he believes this. He was on a talk show once where louis ck used the N word to his "friend" Chris Rock.
Rock was visibly shocked, the White host and audience laughed, and it was Jerry Seinfeld who wasn't laughing, that called ck out for saying that shyt.
He rightfully called that bullshyt out, as editors are right to call out offensive language in comedy routines and bits. ck felt completely comfortable saying in public what he had obviously said to Rock in private. Had Seinfeld not said anything, guests and audience would have just laughed it off.

I don‘t know a single comedian who was “cancelled” that didnt deserve it and even then all it means is people just aren’t messing with you no more. They have the right to do that. A lot of the time it’s people that are on that borderline “your services are no longer needed” type deal like Don Lemon. nikka just kept pushing it knowing people didnt like him. That’s what they did to Roseanne. Kanye has shown as long as you have the talent and are doing what people like they’ll still mess with you. In comedy right now Dave is purposely trying to get people to get him out the paint and they refuse to do it.

This is a cop out. Even “safe topics” comedians say outlandish stuff that wouldn’t be acceptable in day to day convo - stories of their dating and sex lives, interactions with kids, even self depreciation. If people can’t tell a joke from someone/something with serious intent to harm, that’s on them. We shouldn’t have to tip toe around 100,000 taboos for fear of some fringe online denomination crying foul.
In that case, keep doing it then and deal with the pushback and consequences that could come from it.
Don’t cry foul because you can’t say and do the things you used to do. Adapt with the times or keep doing what you “used to do.”
People are too scared about their bread so they’d rather bytch about it instead.

You can’t. In a stand up you can and more comedians are, but movies? Tv shows? No, and those are glaringly missing from the mix.
Okay so adapt with the changing of times then like everyone else does.
It’s not going to go back to the way that it used to be so you either have two choices.

People constantly do this with music too they make you list a few artists and then they nitpick the names you give them, don't play into that. There are incredibly popular comedians online that don't have a hyper focus on pushing boundaries.

It’s not going back to how it used to be so find the content that gives you what you’re looking for.

Rather than constantly complaining about it, why don’t you search around and find the content that still gives you what you’re looking for.

And it’s has changed, people’s stand ups have gone back to some issues that were off the table in the mid 10’s
