So what? Just because it was popular doesn’t excuse him from the content he pushed
He made the content because that’s what he thinks people wanted. It obviously worked for him. He’s like 20 years deep now and want to get to the next phase of his life where he’s owning shyt. I’m sure hanging with Jay and them got him to this point. People shouldn’t be doing that extra stuff just because they found out Jeezy owned the place. He wasn’t even really dissing like that he just made an observation. Most rappers are rappers because they wanted to find a way out of the trap or whatever bad situation they were in before they made it. You shouldn’t be surprised when a 20 year rap vet is grown now with kids of his own that are reaching adulthood wanting to make a change. He can’t be the snowman forever lol.

Kind of embarrassing how rappers view their consumers. Isn't this what and who you rapped about lol

I doubt if Common or Cole or some shyt shouted out their steakhouse it would look like freaknik :mjpls:
Is it embarrassing that he wouldn’t mind his audience grew up as he did? Not saying all of them but it’s a lot of successful business fellas and more laid back older crops that are mid to late 30s and older that fukk with him

It’s no different than how dealers look at users.

I used to run with some cats in my early days and we didn't always have good intentions. I started bringing kids in the world and started living for them so my perspectives changed. I wanted to be a role model for them, which led to my growth personally and professionally.

They didn't change when I did and ended up in TDC for a long while. Came back home and I had a little gathering and they treated my spot like we still in the hood. I can't expect changes I made for myself to be adopted by them, and vice versa. Next time we meet it's gon be away from my place that has a dollar menu.
