Ya'll only hyped this because it fit the narrative that there is a huge problem of white people are out here murdering Black people.
The real problem is black people ignoring the incredibly high amount of black on black murders only to lose their sh*t when they hear about when someone of a different skin tone murders someone whose black.

Another thing that doesnt make sense is that these dudes just roll up on the car and start shooting... BELIEVING that the person driving it is their intended target but they had the wrong car???who does that???

One of these days y’all gonna realize that cats like Shaun King have a vested FINANCIAL interest in promoting these stories. There is zero downside.
Finally it’s instances like this that give fuel to the idea that we as black people care 100 times more about crime if we can use it to bludgeon crackas. Threads are stickied, tweets retweeted 100k (with plenty of advertising/promotion of your products or services ornside businesses of course) Facebook posts shared etc.
We’ve probably lost 5,000 black males in Chicago due to homicide in last 10 years but the only time mfers bum rushing City Hall, clogging up Lake Shore Drive or the Mag Mike is when we can throw a white cop in jail (deservedly so but beside the point). Think about the 5 black makes between ages of 15-40 closest to you in your circle of friends/family. Now think about how many other people would be affected one way or another (financially, marital/partner relationships, children) by their death. That number is mind boggling.
Fukkin ridiculous...that’s why I be pushing these younger folks out here to follow politics but don’t get so invested in this shyt that you lose sight of our own agency.

In other words racist white people will always exist. Spending all this energy on their racism is a waste of time. Not that it shouldn’t be fought or that is should be ignored, but if US history has shown anything it’s that money/political power is ultimately the greatest form of protection. It’s not a guarantee - nothing is guaranteed in life - but it’s much more reliable than thinking you’re going to shame white people out of their racism, shaming white establishment into accepting your view of a racist society or hoping/thinking that historical guilt will be what pushes us towards a truly just society.
But instead we have an entire generation of young kids coming up thinking that twitter campaigns and online protests and sociological psychobabble mumbo jumbo is going to create some future where they’ll be able to force white people in a room and lecture them about their racism 12 hrs a day all while being applauded by their white allies
...meanwhile soon as these allies hit 29 their activist days are over and they’ve moved to the burbs and start complaining about “govt waste on entitlement programs” and “reestablishing law and order in our decimated urban centers”

Let investigators do their job and don't listen to online "detectives" and mobs. Turns out the white guy was a by stander mistaken for the shooter in the chaos .
Now a bunch of people have to eat crow and this hurt future legit activism efforts.

I'm not sure why there was a race to make this racial. Why not wait until their is a suspect in custody or more facts before jumping to that conclusion.
And I'm not going to scrutinize the initial story. Being shot at and witnessing some one getting killed is a traumatic experience, and witness testimony has been proven to be unreliable. But also there was a red truck on the scene. Maybe that was the last thing the teenager saw before the shooting started.
Either way, I'm just glad their was justice and this didn't turn into a cold case.

here this nikka goEye witness testimony is not as accurate as many people think. Imagine you going about what you think is a normal day .The idea of being shot at is like not even in your realm of imagination. All of a sudden shots ring out. Your child is bleeding. People are running. Glass and loud noises surround you.
She most likely in this chaos saw a white man in the vicinity fleeing and assumed it was him. Cases aren't usually solely reliant on eyewitness testimony and that is why you let the investigation take place and wait regardless of what the mom said.
A bunch of people who feed off apparent race conflict piled on immediately because they found another situation they can use to fuel that obsession. If racism fully disappeared, these types will be absolutely miserable. They love whipping people into a mob like we saw on this case. Now that the suspects are black their involvement and interest in this case will drop to 0 in a very short time.
