I agree with you, but there is one major difference in this case, versus the other Diddy and R. Kelly threads - this suit is a one-off accusation, and has a lot more readily ascertainable evidence.

The accusations against Diddy and R. Kelly: 1) came with decades of well-known conduct; 2) had video and photographic evidence; 3) were bombastic in many other ways.

This is the first public legal claim against JAY Z for sexual assault. We know he was a drug dealer, we know he’s stabbed at least one person, but there has been no indication of child rape against him.

I’m not immediately inclined to believe him, but this has more shakiness to it. This is going to be a wild case.

Honestly, every mediation I’ve done has been confidential. But those are all post-filing mediations ordered by common pleas or the federal trial court.

The more I think about this, the more it weighs in JAY Z’s favor to go on the attack here.

Mediations are always confidential. All the parties to the mediation sign those clauses beforehand. Jay Z refusing to do that when he could clearly make this go away means that either (A) he thinks it’s all lies or (B) Buzbee asked for something insane in the 10s of millions based on what Cassie’s lawyers got off Diddy and Jay Z said fukk off. I would love to see the lawsuit they filed for extortion.
