I've got to say it's pretty ironic Jay and Mitt see "giving back to the community" the same way.

they're businessmen. they're in the business of making money, not giving.

I'm not going to bother going over what's wrong with that statement.

I don't cloak my business opportunities in anything other than what they are.

Slum lords and predatory lenders across America salute you

:salute:

well, that's what capitalism is. ain't it? capitalize off of anything even if it harms people. this is what makes america so great. america was built on being heartless and not giving a fukk about other people. look @ american history. america didn't rise up to the ranks by having a heart. the most richest people in our country have no morals. this society rewards that. jay-z didn't get to where he's at by having morals. after all, he was a crack dealer for money before he turned to rap. it's wrong to hurt somebody BUT if it suits a business interest, according to america, it's okay.

we frown down on it BUT guess what, let's not act like we're all golden when if the situation came down to it where we had to do whatever we have to do to survive, our morals would fly straight out the window. the most successful businessmen don't give a fukk about anything BUT green. look @ george w. bush and bernard madoff. people don't realize that most businesses are controlled by people that think like them. they will kill you and me if it were good for business. they don't give a fukk.

The Middle Class is a myth.

I wouldn't say it's a "myth". but yeah, they never talk about the actual poor/lower class

it's like repubs thing everyone can be rich, the dems think everyone can be middle class, meanwhile the majority of people are just poor

I'm not arguing any of this...

Just explaining why homey said that Mitt and Jay-Z are cut from the same cloth...

i beg to differ, man. the simple fact that you have to pay for health insurance in this country or the hospital will leave you on a bed to die because the moment they hear they can't make money off of you is pure capitalism at work. there's babies that actually die because their parents have NO insurance. :wtf: you basically have to pay to live. your life is basically at the mercy of a dollar bill and how much you can produce it. if you can't produce any cash, you might as well kill yourself.

For someone who has grown up on every facet of Hip hop's style, controversy and influence...to say it wasn't never a political movement is naive. The Very Essence of Hiphop was to give Poor People ( Black and Brown) a voice and outlet to express themselves. Outsiders found a money market tool that not only created economic woes but social and political confusion between older and younger generations. Jay-Z isn't 1%, he is a tool for them( just like many other artists) to divide and conquer what is left in black and brown community who still look at Hiphop as a Power People Movement.

There is too much emotional into this thread b/c I see alot of those who have Jay-Z as their favorite artist and cannot see any problem what he does whatsoever...leaving a huge connection of Jay-Z Fans to Obama fans. They can do no wrong.

And posts like these are why for the first half of the existence of this board mods thought you were Tom.

No one ever thought that bro. No one. Your defamatory statement is noted. You are choosing not to deal with the reality of the situation and I can not even begin to comprehend why. You're in denial over the situation! You will not even talk about it! wtf bro?

Bro's know me around here. I've been on these forums for awhile.
Not only in ktl but in the arcade and spot. I've been playing 3cept with some of them since mw2 dropped. I've posted in the spot and ktl since 06' and was on the other forum and lurked before that.

Thanks for your input from the perspective of a Brooklyn resident...From the outside looking in (a casual observer) I depend on your expertize on the whole situation to get the real (non political spin) on whats really going on...
Anytime man I try and give back to this forum as much as possible.

for some reason I'm shocked @88m3 wasn't the OP....

Wasn't I?

Your melodramatics are duly noted, but it was indeed discussed. :obamaword:
