It’s like YOUR brain shuts down when it comes to Duke...all them chits was Roc compilations, but Def Jam only has a problem with how they labeled that particular one? Take that bullchit across the street...
Dj clue is a artist
State property was a group
Backstage & Streets were a movie soundtrack

having Jay z on 8+ songs on a album and labeling it a group was bad business in 2000. The album would not sold as well being a group is facts

That’s a stupid thing to think...because

(1) People were buying whatever album the hits were on...the muthafuccing album with “That’s Just My Baby Daddy” went gold and it was a compilation

(2A)
in 2000, Def Jam made a group album out of two gold artists
and it went multi-plat. It was called Blackout! ...So why doesn’t Def Jam wanna do that again?

(2B) Dynasty was supposed to be the same chit for Jay that Ryde Or Die, Vol. 1 was for DMX.
So it wasn’t supposed to be Jay having 8+ songs on that mugg. THAT’S THE FUCCING POINT

Labeling Dynasty a Jay Z album triple the sales of this shyt lol if this shyt was a group album it probably don’t go plat. That’s the fukking point. Beanie and Bleek go more shine this way than a damn group album

Jay-Z jacked Jaz-O sttyle in the 80s
Hov then stole Fu Schnickens flow in the early 90s
Mid to late 90s Nas gave him a style to run with
After Biggie died, Jay tried to become Big
Young Chris comes along n is totally shang tsung'd by Jigga (early 00s)

2003 - Jigga retires

Late 00s comes back, flops, jumps on Kanyes dikk

You got no facts for this chit, all you got is “probably”s - and they don’t make any sense, playa.
It wouldn’t make any sense if Kevin Liles said it, much less you. Lol

I gotta figure out how to post the screenshot but its from this freestyle (23:06 and onward)

“O dont run O stand and fight
O a soldier, O been fighting all his life”

Then proceeds to go into a whole boxing scheme for like 16-20 bars. Only thing is the date of the freestyle (2002) is after “The Ruler’s Back” dropped (2001) but they could be old bars

He mentioned that boxing scheme in that video with Beans. He wasn't saying Jay bit him on Ruler's back he was saying Jay bit his boxing scheme on that freestyle on Lyrical Exercise. Which still isn't adding up because Blueprint came out in 2001 and Oschino did that freestlyte in 2002 unless he spit those bars for Jay a year prior to doing the freestyle and before Blueprint came out.

If yall referring to the Hot 97 freestyle, when he brought the whole State Prop up...that freestyle is definitely from 01'. IDK why a lot of sources on the internet, got it marked 02'. I had that shyt on CD in 2001. :yeshrug:

It was definitely out prior to 02'.

If Jay had reached out to him when his son passed, this would be a different conversation...
O is the ultimate opportunist :mjlol:
When Sig got put to sleep during the Meek beef, he went on his “Fukk Beans” tour and ended up on the Breakfast Club and other podcasts

no, it definitely was 2002 when they went up the second time. Their responses are to Ether(“Is he Dame Dollars, Dame millions,” “We from the hood where we don’t know the definition of Ether” etc.), which dropped December 2001 on Kay Slay’s Street Sweepers part 3, and the 11th on retail.

The Dynasty album would’ve been better if Rocafella would’ve signed Big L. I think L got killed or something around that time.Word was he was going to sign to Rocafella Can you imagine Jay Beans and Big L:ohlawd: Bleek actually did alright. But yeah it was unfortunate L was murdered. The. What if Cam would’ve came to Rocafella too.

can you imagine Jay-z, Big L, Camron, Beans Bleek, Dipset, State Property on one label?
