Sparks wasn’t writing it to the same beat but it was definitely his song.So the neptunes was just gonna give O a beat huh lol
y’all dudes lol
Even the Jay Z oldhead spent lunch with O years ago
Y’all killing me lol jay asked sparks to do the hook on his record. We don’t know what type of song Sparks was making. Sparks probably don’t even remember. Because jay was not looking for a single Parkin lot pimpin was the single. They was about to shoot the video that day for Parkin Lot but Jay pivoted based out on Give it to me sounded after that session. Give it to me should not made the album. And people saying Jay didn’t pay Sparks. Jay had to clear a sample that would bankrupt sparks. Because he stole the fukking hook himself lolSparks wasn’t writing it to the same beat but it was definitely his song.

7. Although initially meant to be a Roc-A-Fella Records compilation, after “Guilty Until Proven Innocent” and “I Just Wanna Love U (Give It 2 Me)” were recorded, it was decided that it would be a JAY Z album.1. ...aaand muthafuccers be having songs they made on hold for YEARS before they release them officially,
so when it actually was released doesn’t speak to when it was made all the time.
2. Thanks for bringing up the Dynasty album, which everybody knows was supposed to be a Roc group
album but Jay was like “Nah, this chit too hot for the group - Imma take these songs and make it one of
my albums”. That’s exactly the kinda thing this thread is talking about.
Sparks said jay was looking for a single which was falseI don’t see any facts

8. Def Jam Records didn’t want to release it as a compilation because they felt it would be hard to find in the record stores if it wasn’t under JAY Z’s name.
Those were soundtracks and a group album lol...aaaand as seen in this very thread, “I Just Wanna Love U” was one of the last songs recorded for this album.
They were ready to roll out “Parking Lot Pimpin’” as the single instead of that. That sounds plausible because “Parking Lot Pimpin’” was the first song off that album to hit the blog sites.
...aaaand if Def Jam had a problem releasing Dynasty as a compilation around then, tell me why they had no problem putting out Streets Is Watching soundtrack, Backstage...Hard Knock Life Tour, State Property: The Chain Gang and 2 DJ Clue tapes - all of which were Roc compilations??
Those were soundtracks and a group album lol
it’s like y’all brain shut down when it comes to duke
