He could be right, but niccas will say anything 25 years later...
They had the same producer, I’m sure some of the beats were heard from both artists. That happens everywhere.
But to say Jay stole their style or their music... I doubt it

everyone loves Camp Lo and want to side with the underdog and shyt on the billionaire superstar... I get it

Reasonable Doubt is heavily influenced by the Lo. Yeah RD dropped first but Uptown was in recording process first/got stuck in label limbo. The Lo were always on the lavish/elite crooks/lifestyle vibe. Jay was not until he would peep in on what Ski was working on. Jay has been taking styles since the beginning.

I swear I always said this about O. If you really listen to O he does a lot of schemes as they call it now in battle rap. And a lot of them picked that up not just jay beans did too.

In 1999, Rare Essence had some controversy regarding their song "Overnight Scenario", which was allegedly copied by Jay-Z in the song "Do It Again (Put Ya Hands Up)" and was the first single from his album, Vol. 3... Life and Times of S. Carter. There is an hour to hour account in the song "Overnight Scenario", and "Do It Again" follows the same concept.[9] For example, Rare Essence's line was “Three in the Morning the Pancake House” while Jay-Z said “4 AM at the Waffle House”. The question was whether or not the problem should be called plagiarism or just similar concept. The group had been performing the song for most of the late 1990s and was concerned about the copyright infringement that seemingly took place. Jay–Z's defense was that go–go music is just remakes of other artists’ songs.

Jay-Z was robbing Young Gunz paying them only 2500 when Dame said they should of got 5K a show.

Did Dame double back and pay them?

Beans said Dame stole from him

Currne$y and Jim jones said the same thing

Funny how Dame say he miss working and being around Jay

It's always people that say that they have so many issues with Jay

But stay saging they miss him as a friend and want to work with him again

That never ever made sense to me

Wouldn't you want to stay away from such a person
