Has No ID really fallen of for people? Cause I liked the stuff he did on MBTDF, Watch the Throne, Life is Good and Big Sean's first 2 albums. Whats his recent work been like? Cause I think he fits for Jay and Nas
Imagine Jay on a beat like "Stay" :wow: :banderas:and most of No I.D. productions are different none of the same shyt.

Ye Negros of little Faith:usure:

I'm not a Bubble Lip Jay fan but I don't see nothing wrong with Jay having One Producer (NO ID) producing his album. That's hip hop Yo. One Mic, One Emcee and One Producer/DJ, to many producers on one album mess things up, there's no direction, it sounds like a mixtape instead of an album.

And we going to doubt NO ID who produced Can I Borrow A Dollar, Resurrection and One Day It All Make Sense and many banging singles over the last 5 year's.

What kind of bullshyt is this :gucci:

I agree No I.D. shouldn't be producing the whole thing, but one producer albums are a lot more likely to result in classic albums.

That's never really been Jay's mo though, and for a guy like him who doesn't have an album budget and can work with basically work with anyone, I'd prefer to see him get an all star team of producers.
What's not to understand? I'm not a fan...u can be, I'm just not.

Take Common's "Be" album. While I think it's good...I don't think it's as good as most would say it is. To me it's a lot like one really long song, all the songs are dope but it's the same energy to me.

I like albums that have the same theme and are cohesive but every song can't be in the same lane to me. I'm definitely checking for the album and being that NO ID seems to be guiding the ship I have faith that this will be a quality project. Hopefully this is Jay taking it back to the essence ala Blueprint.

SINY!!
Whenever people have mixed feelings about a producer....keep in mind, the artist is the one who picks the beats.....

Jay had a good ear and probably picked No IDs best. I hope and I'm sure the album will be better then MCHG (I didn't hate it, didn't love it either)

Jay Z is not socially conscious...he does the shyt for money...like any corporation does...

And like I said...Hip Hop is for the fukking Youth...

Who the fukk cares what a 47 year old grown ass man that owns a corporation is doing...I don't fukking care...most of us don't fukking care...

Jay Z hasn't been interesting since BluePrint 1 dropped. We know what Jay Z is about...money and drugs...now he got Black people in the mix..

And yeah...most of Hip Hop is compromised of bytches, hoes, drug and money rap...like that's like the common denominator of almost every mainstream Hip Hop song...

It's been embedded in the fabric of the genre since NWA came out...

We not gonna sit here and pretend...

Irresponsible posting.

No one gets to determine whether it is or is not Hip Hop. You only get to determine whether or not you like it and choose to indulge in it or interpret the language. The restrictions that people try to put on hip hop music are foreign to almost every other major genre of music or art in general.

Jay-Z has done more for hip hop, black music, and black business then all of us put together on this board. If you don't want to listen to him rap, don't listen to the album.

And if the Skies open up, and this album falls to the ground and it's wack, I will be the first one to say it. But you cannot disrespect what he has accomplished what he stands for and who he is in today's world.
