Finally bought the album. It's aight, my takeaway from this is:

"Ya flow is garbage/what you trying to kick knowledge"

Jay's flow is so ass in spots it's cringe worthy. He is spitting some shyt but sacrificed his flow for it. Hopefully it grows on me.

This sounds like the comment from a formulaic expectation i.e. "This is how a good flow sounds, exhibit a b c", dude is 20+ years in bringing out new flows, still. It's obvious that he can rap like on Marcy Me or Smile all the time, but he wanted to mix talking and rapping on 4:44 and it was dope as fukk, or that ultra slow flow on Adnis etc.

It seems like he's fully trying to adjust the flow and delivery to what's happening in the instrumental and the bars.

Could be me, but the last portion of the song sounds like a Premo beat. No I.D. sometimes throws those little nods in there, but that one was sick.
