I was jumping over guys, and they wouldn’t touch me. - Lawrence Taylor (Giants #56):banderas:

@RAW_SPK dawg :wow:
Ahhh man should've caught that specially since he said

"Got the heart of a giant, don't you ever forget". When he isn't even a giants fan.

I never visit that rap genius site but I might be forced to take an L on this.

This album is incredible...lyrically Jay-Z is at the top of his game at 47 years old....crazy....the biggest "ism" in rap is age-ism and i love that Jay is doing away with that....I hope this isn't his last and that he keeps putting out music as long as he's inspired to....no reason why rock artists can tour and put out music well into their 60s and rap artists can't....as a matter of fact, rappers should get nicer with age....they have more life experience to reflect on

U missing out on a lot of Jay lines. But this why Jay dope. He can spit "Michael Jordan of Rap Outside Jay Working Now Watch How Quickly I Drop 50" or "Ball So Hard Mofos Gon Fine Me, But 1st Niqqas Gotta Find Me" and listeners can take it surface level. But if sports are on your mind u :pachaha: at the slickness of this dude sports references

so is there a double meaning with the jumping over guys bar or is it what it simply is?

It's also a sports reference. Lawrence Taylor played for the New York Giants in the 80's. One of his signature moves while pursuing quaterbacks and runners was to jump over other players on the offense.

The big difference with me going to an old head rock concert and a Jigga concert is that I want to hear his latest shyt. Most old heads touring wish that this was the fact for their tours.

Cats like Rolling Stones tour and all people want to hear is 50 year old songs, which is amazing too but it must hurt when the arena goes mute when you play your latest shyt.

U see the question mark? U see..."leave the speculation..."

Hov is one the geniuses in this genre. But he doesn't freestyle these records beloved. Too slick. Too much depth. Too on point to be freed.
Save your breath trying to convince me as if what you're saying is factual when you're clearly just stating your opinion. You haven't spent nan session with dude to know exactly what his process is. You're just talking.

You're actually low key hating despite your disclaimers because you're tryna police props. "Freestyle" has a very broad definition in hiphop. We call written rhymes freestyles so I don't see the problem with calling what Jay does "freestyling" because that's basically what it is if the process is the way he and others describe it. If you create songs in your head on the spot just by listening to the best then that's a freestyle. Take the badge off and let people give dude his props.
