Jay's albums have been the soundtrack to so much of my life throughout the years. I'm now a grown man with grown man problems and have been going through some family drama. Being able to put on some fresh new Jay-Z tracks and just vibe out and absorb the lyrics and dance and sing the songs with my very young daughter has been pure therapy. Not ready to say exactly where this ranks in his discography but it's without a doubt a great album that I'll revisit as long as I'm listening to music.

Its so clear he wanted to take Nas's vibe. Has a song with Damien Marley (underwhelming honestly), Talking that black empowerment, beats are secondary to the lyrics, raps about his hood alot.

Definitely the most focused, Nas's like album we've seen from Jay. Us Nas fans have been on this tip for the past 20 years.

Catch up nikkas.

I gotta dig into it more. But my early impression is that this is a smart & emotionally honest album, but Jay is just no where near the emcee he used to be. The element of being an impressive emcee is missing from this project. I still think it's a good project, but definitely not a top 3 Jay album. The production is also not near his best work. He's dropping good game though, he's just not what he used to be.

Only TheColi thinks about Nas. And only on TheColi does anyone think that Jay Z or even NO ID gave a fukk about Nas when they made this album.

There's a reason Moonlight happened: Because everyone involved forgot about Nas Album Done, because they considered it forgettable.

I see what you're doing though. Jay will end up getting credit for something YOU think Nas did before him.

Life is Good just isn't better than 4:44 though.

Why do people keep saying this, it's nothing like a nas album.

Has Nas talked intimately about kelis, family and friends on his joints?

The only thing that's similar to nas album is this jay album is conscious
