@LinusCaldwell
I disagreed with your angle, Breh.
To say Jay's message would work better in interviews is inaccurate.
Jay didn't wake up and say "I'm going to change the world with this album".
He's an artist and a true artist, who loved his craft, is compelled to create art and the best way to do that is by taking pages from one's own emotions and experiences and not being addressed to be vulnerable in their muse.
He will give interviews but there true influence WILL BE from how this album is digested over time.
Secondly, to say young people aren't checking for Jay may...MAY be accurate but, Breh, the kids go to school and even though they may not be checking for the principle or the financial donors...best believe the people they aren't checking for are the people who can still influence the people those kids are checking for.
The kids like the art teacher me. Kendrick? It they like the guidance counselor Mr. Drake?
Well, guess who those teachers will ultimately be influenced by?
Hip-hop works the same.
Jay will influence the culture and whether nikkas are checking for it or not... They will be affected by it.
@Ziggiy thoughts?
