is there a physical for sale?

I always prefer a CD for the ride, but am selective these days, this qualifies but not seeing one for sale anywhere

Jay Electronica Official Store

It’s got the record, cassette, and cd there for purchase, and the all come with a digital copy. There’s also clothing there too.

Repped. Copped the vinyl with the quickness. I cannot risk this not being pressed up in large numbers. I’ll pay whatever customs fees they throw at me for this

Listened more, feeling it more each time still. There's a lot of jewels in the album and some great quotables. Will have a lot of replay value. I was holding off on a rating until digested it more but have listened enough time to get it clear in my head and would give it 5 mics. Beautiful album, there's some really great lyrics on this and I love the production, it's different and soulful. Sounds up to date yet soulful at the same time. Is a classic to me.

Flux Capacitor is a favorite everywhere except the coli

Y’all gotta realize the coli isn’t real. It’s a bunch of nikkas playing characters for attention they lack in real life

These nikkas opinions are the minority, and often not even their actual opinions. They faking personalities g

Get the gat get the gat get the gat :blessed:
I trust my ears :mjlol:

beat is ass and the song was the only one getting hate on the live stream chat. HEAVY hate. so no it's not JUST the coli.

"Like Vince Staples said, we just wadin' in the water
My people out in Flint still bathin' in the slaughter
ICE out here rippin' families apart at the border
Satan struck Palestine with yet another mortar
Lies from the reporters
Ass shots and stripper poles for the eyes of my daughter, hm
Swing low sweet chariot, my train is on schedule
But I had to take the Underground Railroad like Harriet

Weave the whole industry, every jab I've parried it
My cross I carried it

My crown of thorns to cavalry from Nazareth
The orbit was too wide to calculate the azimuth
The journey was technically unexplainable, hazardous
Rise, young gods, all paths lead to Lazarus
The dry bones that lifted up from the valley dust
The prayers of the slaves are the wings that carry us
A field full of dreams is where they tried to bury us (Bury us)"

Im happy with it. I didn’t expect a glitzy, glossy, spectacle. (I didn’t like WTT because it felt like more spectacle than substance). All I wanted was two artists, I enjoy hearing, to give me some of who they are over enjoyable soundscapes...I’m satisfied.

I’ll never complain or nitpick about focused expression, real effort, and real feelings. Especially when there’s a real chance that we could turn on a rap radio station, in 5 years, and the top song is somebody repeating their name over and over for 3 minutes and 25 seconds over a faddish beat.

I support and encourage shyt like this because I want to see it return to being the norm. I don’t care if it doesn’t make me feel like it 1994-96 again. I care that I get some good passionate, cerebral music again. I enjoy both old and new music and ain’t no way I’d let myself miss the forest for the trees because The debut drop wasn’t the exact narrative I envisioned years ago.

I think you have to reset your ears and realize that this is not a jay z album. It’s not even a collaborative. It’s jay Electronica album featuring jay z. I know what a jay Electronica project sounds like and I knew what to expect. I thought it was a solid effort overall.

Guru didn’t do a good job mixing this
He's been off for a few albums now:mjcry:

I'm calling it! PARKS WILL HAVE SMOKE FOR GURU.. on today's podcast.

4 songs in this is boring as hell. But I know the hyping of marginality and the death of true criticism allows these hollow “events” to happen.

unless the remaining 6 tracks provide chills this will be a one and done.

lol, track 5 uses the Pete & CL beat.

Get this shyt the fukk outta here.
this that send the devil to the cave rap

:umad:

you can't relate
