Can somebody explain the Jay zhook on Ezekiel’s wheel (might as well explain the whole “Ezekiel’s wheel” title as well)

I know it sounds good on beat but what is he talking about in relation to the song :jbhmm:

Or are were they just adlibing and decided to keep it :yeshrug:

I havent finished yet, but what track does he do this on? if so thats pretty neat
He dope and arguably elite

but no, Lupe and Thought got him in that category as the best lyricist ever.

Now lyrical content hes def up there with them in cotent, but thats more preference based on whether you like their^^^ material, or do you prefer Elecs more Quran/Islam influenced material.

Being that I am not a Muslim, i obviously prefer Lupe/Thought's material. Altho Lupe is a muslim but he doesnt make it the focus of so much of his content like Elec
Elec isn't really a muslim though hes a 5 percenter

lupe is an orthodox muslim

nope, that's my shyt also

Ya Jay is spitting on that and I actually really like that beat

I like that Ghost of Soulja Slim. Gonna be on repeat

Ya that was one of the standouts on my first session with the album. Really good song.

I can't tell if it's intentional but at times the lyrics seem blended in or slightly behind the beat

which i don't mind

I think this album will grow on me.

I was thinking that as well, it gets better with each spin. I put that on all the jewels these dudes are dropping. I can't catch em all at first. The album is full of them.

Dope project. Jay Elec and the beats give me that early 2000 conscious era feel and then Hov comes in with his American Gangster steeze with the conscious lyrics. shyt is godly

People fiending for a new hip hop savior so much, that they'll elect anyone (pun intended)

You could pick any Rick Ross album. Even the worst and it's better than this album

Ft. Stewart, Ga
On my fourth official re-listen now.

I know i’ve said it but GODDAMN Hov really showed out on this shyt.

I fukking love Jay Electronica’s willingness to not compromise and spit that wonder rhymer shyt. He dug into the fiver percenter/Nation Of Islam bag hard and I really appreciate it. We let Kanye make not one but TWO Christian themed albums on a mainstream scale so us Hoteps can have our black power God Body shyt too.

I don’t mind the production on this album. If ANYONE has been listening to Jay Electronica since Act 1 I don’t know what the hell you were expecting. Minus his work with Just Blaze, this is EXACTLY what Jay Elect has been rhyming over his entire career. The nikka loops up drumless samples, mostly from movies, adds some random cinematic quotes or references, and then spits. Of course 1-2 Just Blaze beats would have been welcome but I ain’t mad with what we’ve got
