Eye test he is the best rebounding PG I have ever seen. And top 2 or 3 passer.
Plus, his basketball IQ was off the chain. Watching his tenure with the Nets and Knicks he provided a distinct advantage over the competition in the 4th quarter when things got tight because he was the smartest guy on the court 95% of the time.

90% of those passes are on the break against scrambled defenses with lumbering ass bigs struggling to get back.

I can name 10 players with better reels than that.

And that really speaks to his career - he was dope in transition, but just a regular ass player in halfcourt situations. He was heavily flawed and I don't know why folks think they can fool anyone who was actually paying attention back then. It's been said ad nauseum but he benefitted from being in the East at its rock bottom; if he had stayed out West he'd be looked at differently. There certainly wouldn't be any Finals runs for him.

I get the now era wants to diminish players of the 90s, but do remember Kidd’s competition back from the mid-90s through the 2000s.

What he did for/with the Nets in the early 2000s was remarkable.

Plenty other overrated players of the last 30 years before you mention Kidd.

People who start these types of discussions should preface it with whether or not they watched the player during their career first.
