nfl contracts have always been structured in a way that would allow teams to cut the bait earlier. and obviously if they decided to, theyd want to prevent an injury from interfering with that planIf they want out of that QBs contract then they surely would.
I'm not saying it won't happen. What I'm saying is that the blueprint has been put out there if teams really wanted to do it.
I cant think of any situation in which a QB would be cut before the reasonable "potential out" (as they put in on sportrac) , aside from Russ. And like Ive said, Denver is paying Russ a fukkton and that 80m is counting against their cap.
