If they want out of that QBs contract then they surely would.

I'm not saying it won't happen. What I'm saying is that the blueprint has been put out there if teams really wanted to do it.
nfl contracts have always been structured in a way that would allow teams to cut the bait earlier. and obviously if they decided to, theyd want to prevent an injury from interfering with that plan

I cant think of any situation in which a QB would be cut before the reasonable "potential out" (as they put in on sportrac) , aside from Russ. And like Ive said, Denver is paying Russ a fukkton and that 80m is counting against their cap.

Seems really high for Goff, but his leadership and performance since becoming a Lion warrants an extension. Not to mention, the market is the market.

This is a culture-strengthening move and he's earned this show of good faith.

Cousins is moving into his late 30's and coming off an Achilles so they gave him what's essentially a two year deal. He's guaranteed $100 million.

It's the younger QB's who got paid like Mahomes, Lamar, and Hurts you should be looking at. Their teams aren't likely to think they're not worth their contracts. They're not going anywhere.

Maybe Burrow could be a problem if his health continues to be an issue and that's not too serious before NFL contacts are only with the guarantees. Who cares if the team wants to move when they have to pay you $150 million. You're acting like the players are getting screwed on the deal. QB is not the position to use on that example. A bum like Daniel Jones is getting 80 for two years.
Of course it is the example to use it on. If a team is willing to do it to the QB, then whose to say that they won't potentially do it to other positions?

If you believe that fully guaranteed contracts should be the norm in the NFL, then you should be able to see the issue with this one as it's just another way to fukk players out of bread.

It's why all players should ask for as much bread as they can at signing as that's the one number teams can't take away from them.

how much Brock finna get paid ? :mjcry:

I wouldn't give him that bag until he shows me something without the talent surrounding him.

But the market dictates that y'all better win it all before y'all pay him.

to not prolong the debate, that 170m guaranteed money for Goff will be paid by the Lions, or by some other team if he's traded. I dont think it matters how much the signing bonus is. if Im wrong let someone else correct me :manny:
