There was no way Ibushi was going to wrestle with pneumonia. Not even he's that nuts,

I've only been following New Japan since '15 - but this is easily the weirdest year I've seen from them, in terms of booking around a bunch of States Of Emergency and bad luck they've had with injuries.

It's :ohhh:that the US expansion side of things has been really stable since the pandemic started and they've managed to link up with Impact, MLW and AEW to help keep their name out there too

Your Ace doesn't even want to step up when the company needs him most :scust: what kind of Ace is he?

The Forever Ace knows better than to main event a show like this when it's probably going to be dead. :wow:

He's the Rainmaker, not the Possibly Mild Shower Maker. :wow:

That's not what an Ace does :scusthov:

You are there through thick and thin, not just when it's perfect and going strong.

How telling that the one that stepped up was Tanahashi, the Ace that actually saved the company and served it in a platter for Okada

Breh is just respecting his elders, and at best, letting him eat a high profile L, or at worst, letting him hold the belt for a minute before he takes it off him instead.

How magnanimous. :wow:

He'll get to it. He's seeing what an extended stay in the States is hitting for right now.

Jokes aside, it's pretty obvious at this point that Gedo doesn't want him anywhere seriously near the title until they can get crowds in, and can maybe get some more outsiders in for opponents. They've been stuck on a booking hamster wheel since somewhere in the middle of 2019.

2014 :sas1:

I'm just pissed New Japan never tries to do some interpromotional stuff to make shyt more interesting. The pandemic was perfect for that too.

Jay White deciding to go to America and deal with the quarantine times to work a few Impact tapings instead of a Tokyo Dome show ::mindblown:

Shingo and Tana had a hell of a match. Haven't checked the rest of the show.

:dead: at the collective groan for EVIL at the end.
