Okada will carry the olympic torch next year :mjcry: :salute:Just like he has carried New Japan through all these years :birdman:

Kayfabe be damned, I need Gedo jogging alongside him like "COME ON, TORCHBEARER! :damn:" for his leg of the journey :wow:

Hoegan is gonna read this tweet, book a flight to Tokyo and try to roll up Okada mid ceremony because he couldn't possibly let anyone else carry the torch, brother. :mjlol:

I was wondering how New Japan would be involved in the Tokyo Olympics next year :mjlol: I don't know why I imagined Naito dropping the torch then lazily kicking it around on the ground

The Gedo turn on Okada really was some :damn: :ohhh: shyt

Watching the shyt back in 2016-2018, Gedo really was the biggest Okada stan and hype man. Dude never lost hope and always believed in dude even when he was getting his shyt rocked by dudes like Shibata or MiSu. :mjcry:

"COME ON RAINMAKAAAAAAAAH! :damn: :damn: :damn: "

Dude was close to breaking his damn hands slamming the mat to get the crowd to will Okada to his feet.

Bock > Flair is a great argument to be had. It's too bad we don't have much of Bock pre 80's.

I think it's pretty self evident. There's not a lot of 70s Flair footage either, but Bock in his mid-late 40s-50 is in the ring in terms of mechanics and general ability is better than Flair in his 30s and Flair into his 40s/50s. Promos it depends on what style you like more, but Bock was a better athlete and in ring guy than Flair. Flair was flashier but also sloppier in all aspects in the ring.

My point had more to do with the difference in footage between the two. Flair is by far the wrestler we have more available matches than anyone else (pre internet) and that has it's pros and cons. He's also one of the most punished wrestlers when it comes to "meh" performances in house shows or B-shows and having a formula (even though he had like 5 of them when the vast majority has like 2 at most) for his matches, imo. In turn, he's also gotten every benefit of the doubt possible whenhe was past his prime.

I do agree that Bock is better mechanically and talent wise. But performance goes beyond that - God being the best example of that -, and the amount quality work put out there by Flair with such a vast number of opponents, for such a long ass time, will always give him an legit argument against any wrestler, really.

Oh I think I discovered why Harley had such perfect flat bumps every time

48xeAPO.gif

His spine doesn't fukking bend at all. He's like a plank. There's a backslide later in the match and Harley is literally on top of his head because his back doesn't bend at all. Also that match is :blessed: 40 years later and I really thought that was the night Jumbo was gonna win the big one :mjcry: The crowd is literally screaming for every near fall in the last fall, which is basically an entire fall of near falls.
