Would you want to start a thread for Climax that could be upped occasionally, or would a G1 mention (like "25th G1 7/20-8/16") in this thread's title do?

If we have an OP like that (I may be insinuating something here), I think it would be a great introduction to NJPW for some, being an alternative for quality wrestling that's available many nights this summer.

But yeah maybe a mention in the title would be good enough, it goes on for a while and an upped thread for the duration might have us looking a little cluttered on top. I could still post a little primer in here before it starts or someone else (lot of guys more knowledgeable than me here) might want to start a thread. There are twenty wrestlers involved. 10 are in block A, 10 are in block B.What is G1 Climax and why is everyone so excited
Everyone fights each person in their own block individually.
You get 2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, and zero points for losing.
In the finals, whoever from block A has the most points, faces whoever in block B has the most points.
If two people in the same block have the same amount of points, the tiebreaker is whoever out of the two won when the two faced off against each other in the tournament.
This goes on for almost 20 days, so it's just nonstop goodness. Everyone brings their best game, and so many classic matches have happened in the G1 tournament. It's a way to really show yourself, especially since you'll be fighting multiple opponents over various nights. Everyone raises their games.
It's also a chance to see a bunch of matchups that we've never seen before.
Whoever wins the tournament gets the right to a title shot at their biggest show in January at Toyko Dome next year. I believe that person has to then defend that title shot over the next few PPVs, though. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong on that.
ETA: Nights alternate. So say, for instance, Monday is the Block A matches, then Tuesday will be block B.
On the block A nights, all of the block B participants will be participating in tag team matches. Vice versa when block B is performing.
