Would love to read in depth about the fukkery of the 70's and specially the 80's, there's so much stuff in those year - losing and raiding talent from All Japan, Maeda changing everything, Choshu changing everything, the banning of Sumo Hall - and fukk, would be nice to read everything about Inokism in just 1 place.

The only thing about it is that it seems he didn't do interviews with people so it might just be a compilation of stuff he's read and heard

I guess it depends on how he does it. 250 pages where most of it is the story of the promotion is more than enough imo.

5 years ago I tried to do some kind of compilation of New Japan's history (in spanish) and only got to 1994 before I gave up. There was so much info I didn't have the time make it work. And I'm talking about forum threads that had to be separated in 2 posts. It was pretty basic stuff, I tried to simplify it as much as possible and still had a shyt ton of stories and names. All of it could be found in the internet so I wasn't doing anything ground breaking; if this dude has 250 pages worth of info then it has to have some interesting shyt in it....even he just did a more thorough investigation of the internet/Japanese magazines/books/WON and didn't bother to interview people it should be a decent read at the very least (though would be a huge missed opportunity imo).

The only way it sucks is if the story is in the backround while he spends most of the book analyzing decisions/booking and trying to explain psychology

Shibata getting to the ropes with his teeth was genius

Speaking of Shibata, he's missed two house shows with an arm injury. Really hope his G1 isn't in danger, he's got a few of my most anticipated matches. With the Japanese mentality it would have to be a super serious injury to miss such an important run though.
