:salute:

Whole show is already up un XWT :wow:

And yeah

Booking was weird as fukk. I guess the Okada to WWE rumor might be real after all but for the life of me I don't get why Laughter 7 lost both of their matches :smh:

Should've kept my ratio up :steviej:

I could've just about taken Nakamura winning, though it would've been better if he lost, but Shibata losing to fukking Makabe of all people makes no sense.

Just watched the show.
Yeah Low Ki looked awesome, and their match was best of the night for me.
didnt know the whole card, so was surprised to see DH Smit and Hoyt as a team, as a pretty good team
benjamins match was way better any of his RoH matches

That match brought me back to the New Japan vs UWF and UWF(i) days :wow:

I was thinking that maybe they put Tana over because they are working on a title unification match against Nakamura :ohhh:

Wrestle Kingdom 7 is hours long? :ld:

I love wrestling but I'm not sure I can watch 5 hours of wrestling in one sitting. :damn:

You could skip to like 2 hours into the video (just for the jr three way) without missing a lot, like the vid includes a couple of matches that didn't make the iPPV that were just there to warm up the crowd. There's a lot of time on entrances and talking as well so you could parse it down to like 2 hours of actual wrestling. That's usually how it goes with the Dome show, a lot of shorter matches, apart from the main, to make room for the theatrical stuff.

Or you could wait a little for the individual matches to turn up on Dailymotion, I'll probably post those links here as well.

Nakamura/Sakuraba was sick. Super stiff shots... holy shyt

Low-Ki/Devitt/Ibushi had a great high flying contest. Lots of innovative spots there. :wow:

Suzuki/Nagata was a fun brawl.

Tanahashi/Okada III was very good as well but I thought the wrong man went over.

Only disappointing match to me was Shibata/Makabe. Thought it should have gone a little longer and another where I thought the wrong man went over.

Great show though.

Well this might explain what happened at WK in regards to Laughter 7

Bushiroad president Takaaki Kidani is reportedly stepping down according to Tokyo Sports. Kidani apparently brought in Sakuraba and Shibata without even telling Jado and Gedo, while two of New Japan’s biggest and most influential stars Tanahashi and Nakamura opposed the move. Kidani is a big pro wrestling fan who enjoyed the ‘shoot’ influence of the 80s and 90s and tried to bring some of it back with Laughter7′s invasion. However it seems some in New Japan are not in favour of this and the pressure may lead to Kidani’s exit. There was also talk of Kidani becoming an on-screen heel owner ala Eric Bischoff with the idea of an nWo style group pitched. There is the possibility of this being some sort of storyline especially as Kidani has been quite an innovative and progressive head figure since Bushiroad bought New Japan with things like the internet PPVs that allow us foreigners to watch New Japan coming from him.

:jadawtf:

This is starting to sound way too close to some of the stuff I read during Inoki's twilight years...

In other news: WK 7 was really, REALLY good.

Low Ki was going crazy in the suit, but probably should've gone with wider and longer pants or something, because they ripped not 5 minutes into the match. Good thing he was wearing tights under them though...

Nakamura/Sakuraba was fantastic. The transition from the german suplex position into the armbar was something else, and everything just played out perfectly. Only wish it was longer, but whatever.

There better not be another year long Tanahashi reign in the wings. The matches are almost always great, but really, who's there to beat now? He's facing Anderson in February, but then what? Another match with Nakamura? Goto again? Everything forbid, a fukking Lance Archer defense (I hope no one from NJPW is reading this...)? He's already beaten everybody there is to beat, no reason to do it again. When the hell is Naito coming back anyway?

And is there any type of tangible source on the Okada rumors? Apparently Meltzer broke it, but I haven't seen anything about it.

I wonder why Tanahashi and Nakamura would have a problem. Laughter 7's return was an "aww shyt, business just picked the fukk UP" moment. Theres money in it. Very strange.
