Well deserved for ZSJ IMO - when I first saw him I remember thinking it was cool that indies existed because people like Zak can find audiences. Since moving to Japan he's somehow managed to develop his style and aura to the point he's kayfabe believable to win a G1.

He seems completely in love with Japan and NJPW, as much as I love seeing him in the UK and on US TV I hope he sticks it out with them.

New Orleans
Blue Stars had a key show in Kyoto while Red Stars had a critical show in Kobe, all coming with major developments for each.
Red Stars A:
Maika-8 Points
Undefeated and looking down at everyone else and with her victories so far, all but a lock for the quarterfinals but 2 very important matches are left, one is another competitor chasing her down. Remaining match: vs. Hazuki on the 23rd and Manami on the 25th.
Hazuki-6 Points
That competitor on Maika's trail is Hazuki, looking very strong after her victory against a strong Yunamon and only one loss to date has her in firm control with her 2 biggest matches to date coming. Remaining matches: vs. Maika on the 23rd and vs. Natsupoi on the 25th.
Natsupoi-6 Points Not too far behind either is the Wonder of Stardom Champ, getting a crucial victory over H.A.T.E.'s Konami. 2 Matches remain and they are very important. Remaining matches: vs. Manami on the 23rd and vs. Hazuki on the 25th
Manami-5 Points
The young future Ace of Senjo hasn't had any matches since Korakuen and won't until the 25th but she is still very much alive with two of her toughest challenges still to come. Remaining matches: vs. Natsupoi on the 23rd and vs. Maika on the 25th.
Konami-4 Points
A loss to Natsupoi will make it virtually impossible to make it to the quarterfinals and with only one match left, best she can hope for is 6 points. Remaining match: vs. Yuna Mizumori on the 23rd.
Ruaka-1 Point
With no chance to spoil any of the contenders still left, Ruaka is done but she can still get the last laugh on her final opponent. Remaining match: vs. Yuna Mizumori on the 25th.
Yuna Mizumori-0 Points
Another wrestler already eliminated from contention, Yunamon's heart still keeps going strong and she has the chance to get revenge on not 1 but 2 H.A.T.E. members, including one who has been a thorn at her side since she got to Stardom. Remaining matches: vs. Konami on the 23rd and vs. Ruaka on the 25th.
Red Stars B:
AZM-8 Points
AZM is on a roll, getting arguably her biggest career victory to date against career rival Mayu Iwatani. AZM holds her destiny in her hands and has one more match left. Remaining match: vs. Saya Iida on the 25th.
Mayu Iwatani-6 Points
Still alive despite taking her first singles in 2024, Mayu is as strong as ever and with two tough matches left, there's still opportunity to make 10. Remaining matches: vs. Mei Seira on the 23rd and vs. Tomoka Inaba on the 25th
Tomoka Inaba-6 Points
The Queen of JTO has been on a roll this tournament, getting a crucial win over Saya Iida in Korakuen putting her in a good position to still make the quarterfinals but she has 2 of Stardom's biggest stars to prove herself against. Remaining matches: vs. Tam Nakano on the 23rd and vs. Mayu Iwatani on the 25th.
Mei Seira-6 Points
Getting a very important on Saya Iida gives the current High Speed Champion a fighting chance to make it but it will not be easy, like Tomoka, has 2 of Stardom's biggest stars to deal with it. Remaining matches: vs. Mayu Iwatani on the 23rd and vs. Tam Nakano on the 25th.
Saya Iida-2 Points
A disappointing loss to Mei Seira have dashed any hopes for an Iida to quarterfinals agenda but she can potentially play spoiler in her last match and get a shot at one-half of the Goddess Champs in her last 2 matches. Remaining matches: vs. Momo Watanabe on the 23rd and vs. AZM on the 25th.
Momo Watanabe-2 Points
Already eliminated, Momo still got a critical victory over Tam Nakano (with assistance from H.A.T.E.) and puts herself on the board. With one match left, she has a chance to move to 4 and spoil a potential future challenger. Remaining match: vs. Saya Iida on the 23rd.
Tam Nakano-0 Points
The favorite to win the whole thing is already out and not having a good time. The best she can hope for is 4 points in her final 2 matches. Remaining matches: vs. Mei Seira on the 23rd and vs. Tomoka Inaba on the 25th.
Blue Stars A:
Saori Anou-5 Points
A key victory against Miyu Amasaki in her hometown of Kyoto while having a tiebreaker over Syuri puts Saori in a solid position to go far but 2 matches remain and it's 2 potential spoilers. Remaining matches: vs. Xena on the 20th and vs. Koguma on the 25th.
Starlight Kid-5 Points
A victory over Koguma ties her with Saori and with 2 matches left, they are must win. Remaining matches: vs. Miyu Amasaki on the 24th and vs. Xena on the 25th.
Syuri-4 Points
Syuri still is very much in this despite not wrestling since Korakuen and has a chance to make 10 points if she keeps the momentum going. Remaining matches: vs. Koguma on the 20th, vs. Xena on the 24th and vs. Miyu Amasaki on the 25th.
Xena-4 Points
Xena has more than made up for her rough first match with victories over Koguma and Anna Jay but has her 3 biggest challenges to date as her last matches. Remaining matches: vs. Saori Anou on the 20th, vs. Syuri on the 24th and vs. Starlight Kid on the 25th.
Miyu Amasaki-2 Points
It's going to be very difficult, if not impossible to get to 8 but has a chance to spoil those still in the running. Amasaki could still win out the rest of her matches but tiebreakers make it difficult. Remaining matches: vs. Anna Jay on the 20th, vs. Starlight Kid on the 24th and vs. Syuri on the 25th.
Koguma-2 Points
Like Amasaki, tiebreakers will prevent her from going ahead even if she wins out the rest of her matches but the Bear is always most dangerous when she plays spoiler. Remaining matches: vs. Syuri on the 20th, vs. Anna Jay on the 24th and vs. Saori Anou on the 25th.
Anna Jay-2 Points
With 3 losses in a row now and only 2 matches left, Anna Jay is eliminated and doesn't have much room to play spoiler but instead will fight for pride. Remaining matches: vs. Miyu Amasaki on the 20th and vs. Koguma on the 24th.
Blue Stars B:
Saya Kamitani-6 Points
Firm leader of Blue Stars B, Saya is starting to become control of her own destiny but her 3 biggest challenges are coming. Remaining matches: vs. Saki Kashima on the 20th, vs. Suzu Suzuki on the 24th and vs. Hanan on the 25th.
Hanan-5 Points
Hanan getting a match needed win over Thekla in Kyoto leads her on the chase for Kamitani but with 2 matches left, she's in must win territory. Remaining matches: vs. Ranna Yagami on the 24th and vs. Saya Kamitani on the 25th.
Risa Sera-4 Points
A much needed win over Suzu in Korakuen and now a victory against Kashima in Kyoto puts every Risa match in must win territory, especially with only 2 matches left. Remaining matches: vs. Ranna Yagami on the 20th and vs. Thekla on the 24th.
Suzu Suzuki-3 Points
Suzu took a disappointing L against Risa Sera, keeping her at 3 so these next 3 are all must win. Remaining matches: vs. Thekla on the 20th, vs. Saya Kamitani on the 24th, and vs. Ranna Yagami on the 25th.
Thekla-2 Points
Getting a win over Ranna Yagami was key but losses to Hanan and Saya Kamitani doesn't give her much room to make it to the quarterfinals so being a toxic spoiler is in play. Remaining matches: vs. Suzu Suzuki on the 20th, vs. Risa Sera on the 24th and vs. Saki Kashima on the 25th.
Ranna Yagami-2 Points
A good start against Kashima but 2 losses to H.A.T.E.'s Thekla and Kamitani has haltered that momentum but Ranna will keep fighting and continue to be potential spoiler against 3 experienced tournament wrestlers. Remaining matches: vs. Risa Sera on the 20th, vs. Hanan on the 24th and vs. Suzu Suzuki on the 25th.
Saki Kashima-2 Points
Victory over Hanan was key but with now 3 losses and only 2 matches left, our beloved Kashima doesn't have much hope in reaching the quarterfinals but when Kashima is backed against the wall, that's when she's most dangerous. Ultimate spoiler is in play and H.A.T.E. is in her sights. Remaining matches: vs. Saya Kamitani on the 20th and vs. Thekla on the 25th.
We have a day off but we're back Tuesday in Osaka for Blue Stars action at 6:30pm JST/2:30am PST on Stardom World

Another Gold Medal
You know what I came into the thread mad that Tsuji lost but now that I’m thinking about it, ZSJ has been a solid consistent guy for NJPW:manny:

He really upped his game and changed his body enough to where he’s credible. I wouldn’t be mad at a transitional reign for him

Yeah I was about to post a “what happened to the game I love” but can’t hate on dude he’s been loyal :manny: and having good matches if you enjoy that style of wrasslin.
