America only received like 4% of all the slaves during the entire slave trade. The vast majority of the plantations in America were small with only 1-4 slaves per household. Most slave owners were small family farms. Large plantations were very rare in the USA . So no they were not just taking slaves up out of the USA and sending them to the Caribbean, because most small plantation owners in America had no connection with the Carribean slave trade or slave owners.Well educate me then, at no time were slaves sent from America to Caribbean, or Caribbean to America?
On the other hand 90%+ of all the slaves during the slave trade went to the Caribbean, Central and South America to work on large plantations with hundreds if not thousands of slaves. Most of the slaves taken to the Caribbean were worked to death so they had to constantly replenish slaves by buying new ones from West and Central Africa. Jamaica was run by England. America was not run by England. American slave owners may have purchased slaves from time to time from the Carribean slave owners, but slaves were not just being transsported back and forth like that.
