She says the ones she rented to in the past have been “nothing but problems, fight with each other at night, disrespectful, entitled, unappreciative, because they get so much free sh!t in America and America has spoiled them and they expect the same free treatment when they come to Jamaica!”

Frankly theres not enough white people and clouted carribean people to support the Jamaican tourist industry.

My concern is that he is supposedly a counsellor for black youth.

All props to the first black republic in the western hemisphere, but what we did after slavery was nothing short of revolutionary. Hence, us having it best of anyone in the diaspora.

I used the word significant because if allowed the opportunity, the Haitians would have destroyed the system of wite supremacy.
Went from island to island and even further.
Since enslavement of our ancestors, wite supremacy as a SYSTEM has never faced that much of a threat.
My point is that we weren’t exclusively mistreated by white folks as evidenced by the op. And foreigners hating on/envying “Black Americans” for being born here is to be expected, as evidenced by the op. So the “PTSD” you may perceive any one of us as having, derives not from the actions of the past, but from what’s occuring today, as evidenced by the op. And yes, our most trusted allies, the Demoncratic party, the founders of the ku klux klan, have been shytting on “Black Americans” and continuously remain doing so, more than any other perceived racial group.

I couldn’t tell she lived in America till you guys started saying so as I know plenty of Jamaicans that sound like that where they put on a fake accent for clarity. But if she lived there as a legal citizen wouldn’t she be entitled to the same benefits as anyone else? I’m assuming she’s legal to work and travel back and forth. Where would the envy apply? Genuine question.
Once again I have no horse in the race in the argument presented in the video that’s why I haven’t specifically commented on it.
Edit: watched the video again, she grew up in Jamaica then went to America as an adult or young adult.

Tell the whole story though. The one where France came back with an even bigger military force after 1804 and told Haiti either run it back or run us or money. And Haiti didn't want to run it back and been in debt ever since....
What Haiti did was remarkable and one of the few shots that hit target for Blacks in America but what they did doesn't compare to The Civil Rights Act brought upon by Black Americans.
Nothing has benefited Black people in this hemisphere more then the Civil Rights Act and if you want to argue with that just look at the masses of Haitian immigrants dying to get here to this land and use all those rights that were afforded to them by the blood and sweat of Black Americans.

How easy that fire could have spread.
There are two sides to this.
I prefer the non-violent side.
The non violent side does not TOPPLE AND DESTROY the system of wite supremacy
There is no sense in destroying the world and trying to start over.
So yes we are in full agreement concerning the other side of blk liberation.
Which is to be able to SET LAWS. Gain status in society. Be recognized as a human being.
That is what the civil rights act did.
For hundreds of years many could only think of burning everything down.
That is not a long term solution.
And yes I agree the Haitians are still being punished.
Which is WHY you should love and welcome them even more than anyone else.

Didn’t watch it again to take notice of her accent as it wasn’t essential to the argument. Also I still haven’t commented on the content of the video specifically.
