Its always amazing to me how we correct ourselves when it comes to a white athlete though.

The result of that game was used to bolster his MVP argument despite him being thoroughly outplayed on both sides of the ball by Embiid. That's why it was referenced.
For starters, you're putting far too much emphasis on folks using it to bolster his MVP argument. Who out of the voters said that game increased his chances of winning MVP? You're cherry-picking this game because it's low-hanging fruit for you to bullshyt about. 95% of the games the Nuggets have won this season has mainly been down to Jokic, so to sit there and pick out a game where the bench was the reason why they won is only being disingenuous.

I could go back through every single MVP's games and find multiple games that their team won where they weren't the main reason why, yet it was used in their campaign, cumulatively.
And I've seen enough Nuggets games to know that those guys aren't the bums that his fans try to make them out to be.
You seem to have a habit of bullshytting, as if nobody is going to notice.

You’re either lying about watching Nuggets games, or worse, you’re watching them and you’re blatantly lying about what’s happening. Boogie has only played 23 games, averaging 14 minutes per game (most of his minutes have been played in situations with low stakes), and Morris is a league-average starter. To say they're "legit ballers" as evidence for Jokic not carrying the team is patently ridiculous. He's missing his 2nd and 3rd options, and he's creating more buckets for his teammates than anyone else in the league, while also being the most efficient high-volume scorer. That's historical shyt. Every single star player has support cast members better than what he has. Boogie was out of the cotdamn league and he was struggling to find a team that wanted him, yet in your eyes, he's this irreplaceable piece that proves Jokic isn't carrying the team.

Proving his point.

Seeding hurt Steph last season so he sensibly adjusted his criteria match the MVP voters. Only for him to then see that same criteria switch up once again because Jokic is looking like he could fall to the 7 seed yet is still firmly rooted in the #2 MVP voting spot while Book gets no love
No, nxgga, he did not adjust his criteria to match the MVP voters', because there is no set criteria. Ja is the same guy who praised Westbrook for winning MVP as a 6th seed (which you conveniently keep ignoring). He's a hypocrite. There's no two ways about it. Nobody is "firmly rooted" in any position because there isn't any official MVP standings. You'd have to get a pre-vote from the entire panel to see where players currently sit. Booker isn't getting MVP love because the narrative was more about CP3 prior to his injury; Booker wasn't seen as the main reason for their success. It's unrealistic to expect near the end of the season for a narrative to change over from CP3 to Booker.

And please, all this Booker MVP campaign shyt is fake as hell. Nobody was advocating him for MVP prior to CP3's injury.
There’s a clear pattern emerging here of adjusting and readjusting the criteria season-by-season for Jokic, and current and ex-players alike are finally calling it out
MVP criteria adjusts and readjusts every season; it changes based on the climate and whatever scale of perception is happening at the time. There's no point trying to use strict logic because it's all narrative, and the creators of those narratives are human, and humans have a tendency to change how they view shyt without rhyme or reason. If there was a clear pattern for Jokic, he would've been the favorite heading into the season, and he'd be the main name mentioned from the start of the season all the way to the end, but that was never the case. Luka was the preseason favorite; KD and Steph were in a two-man race during the first third of the season; DeRozan, CP3, Giannis, Embiid and Jokic were all names that were then added to the conversation. Which is funny because, Jokic has been arguably the best performer since the start of the season, yet it took folks a while to acknowledge so because they were too busy arguing about other candidates, and the fact the basketball public doesn't watch Nuggets games like that.

For whatever reason, you're like many clown ass nxggas on this board who refuse to acknowledge that you're witnessing one of the best big men to ever step foot on the hardwood, so you do everything in your power to put it down to some grand conspiracy that he's being pushed above the rest of the league because you can't argue against his numbers.

The whole Booker MVP campaign that's just come out of nowhere is bizarre. You ask Ja who the MVP was prior to CP3's injury, and he wouldn't have even mentioned Booker. Nobody would have.

That may be true, I was just providing clarification to the post above.

You hate the truth
Nah I hate the silliness. There's a couple different people who can win it but the precedent for a low seed leader to win was set 5 years ago by a black player. The buzz for Jokic isn't much different than last year, and as cats have pointed out, it was widely considered Steph's to lose until he actually did lose it with his shooting regression.
