He was told not to do this months ago and got off light. No sympathy.

It's the image man. The image. Karl Malone was in hunting magazines and an NRA member. And I hate Karl Malone.
As an athlete he should have enough sense to stay away from controversial stuff because it will mess with his money. As a public figure it's best to have a neutral image and let others project their desires on you but never pin yourself down to anything. You have no ideology or beliefs you're a blank slate.

At least you're not trying to pretend like he actually did something wrong by simply showing off a firearm. He ended up on the wrong side of the racial tracks because as a black male if he does that it strikes fear in discomfort in the hearts of the same white fans some of which are proud gun owners themselves.
has nothing to do with white fans.

Holding a gun like that while rapping about shooting people is sending a msg that "im bout that".

why do you think rappers do it in videos?
or back in the day on Smack DVDs?

add to the fact that gun violence is the #1 way young black men die

No nikka ….you are regurgitating a post from March 4 the day after it happened …the NBA however didn’t conclude their investigation until March 15th. He was not suspended for transporting weapons because that is not what happened. Please stop trying to postureabout this case when you do not have a clear grasp over of the facts, you should listen to people who are clearly more informed instead of trying to argue.

Why is it everyone’s fault but Ja? :dahell: His parents. His homies… etc… it’s all on him at this point

His homie driving tried to get ja out of view quick as hell cuz he know breh is being stupid.

this isn't a company problem Ja is obviously striving to be a legendary crash dummy

What? Music then and now has absolutely negatively influenced impressionable minds. Add in Drugs, alcohol, stereotypical ideals of what is achievable.. Man listen
Sounds like weak minded individuals, which comes down to parenting & how the child was brought up.
Have yall considered that WE grew up before Rap become all consuming? THat we grew up with parents who were more than likely older teenagers/ adults during the Crack era and had a different set of values and perception of the world?

Because kids who are Morants age and younger are not growing up the same. They are young enough to be OUR kids and 50 cent is old school to them.

IF we are going to put some of the blame on music, understand, these kids dont have acts like Heavy D, ATCQ, The Jacksons, and old school r&b, funk, jazz, soul, etc that reflect a different side of Black culture. Its just Drill, Trap, and Porno music and because of that street culture is synonymous with Black culture. Ask yourself why Chicago Street Terms like opps, drill, action, etc became so intertwined with modern day culture.
You saying a whole bunch of nothing. All it comes down to is parenting. I'm not putting the blame on entertainment, that's an lazy excuse.

And I'm not blaming Tee Morant, idk what type of relationship he has with Ja, and I can't confirm whether he's talked with Ja about his actions & things just fell on deaf ears.

Part of me is like bro stay low. Head on a swivel. This come up you got is amazing and if you play it right, will set you up for life

But then again its just a gun. He aint bussin it or commiting a crime ( unless he is on probation and some other judicial shyt). it shouldnt be that deep

Its whatever at this point. Its dope watching him play and his potential is wild high. But if he dont want it, then he dont want it.

His homies, i will say, aint shyt. Fam close behind.

Naw this is about black men owning guns and being seen with them. Gun ownership in this country absolutely has a racial element to it and the whole point is so black men can be shot and killed not so they too can have guns. At the root of all of this is white discomfort with black male gun ownership.

It's the same sentiment that the white community was up in arms over Colin Kaepernick peacefully protesting and got him booted from the league permanently but Riley Cooper can say he'll fight every n**** in a building and can continue his career for years after. The bottom line is if you're a black athlete there's stuff you can and can't do not because it's right or wrong but because it does or doesn't offend white fans. Black men with guns is a huge no no. Even a black child they think might have a gun the cops will pull up and shoot then ask questions later.

And yeah Ja is a knucklehead but at the same time don't pretend at the heart of this isn't the offense of white sensibility over black gun ownership.

Breh, you not gonna get me in here arguing with your contrarian ass. You may have some of these other people in here fooled but I know your opinion on this whole subject will change by next week. :dead:
