Why is the onus on Cole to go to more extremes immediately when Kendrick has been the one sending subs (not even mentioning Cole until recently) since the beginning damn near, it should be on him to come out swinging.

Figures you would be a Kendrick Stan/agree with his moves since he's been taking years at a time just to drop a bar/stalling cats out like your boy Bud :mjlol:

People are hypocrites bro. They do need use the same metrics for Cole and Drake when talking Kendrick.

I fukk with it, glad to see dot and Cole have this back and forth, but if the best he got is that Kendrick don’t drop enough music then this isn’t going to go well . Jcole grading Kendrick’s discography is also a :patrice: move considering his is the weakest of everyone involved

Also to add them crackaz ain’t done nothing for me considering who his mama might come back to bite him if Kendrick wants to take it there :dead:
Why does his mom being white change anything about that line? If a breh said these nikkaz ain't done nothing for me there would be no need dive

What classic he had by that time? nikka got his classic with that very album. The Blueprint. RD retroactively became a classic. And if u gonna call Vol 2 a classic u can also call Forest Hill Drive a classic. Only one with a certified classic album by the time of that diss was Nas.
You are 100% right lol. People were giving Jay major props for the “one hot album every ten year” line and all that back then. Like he caught Nas at the perfect time with that too.. That’s why Ether hit so hard. He had to let Jay and the world know that he was still the man. And RD has always been my favorite Jay album, but it was definitely elevated to classic status later. Jay dropping Takeover and Blueprint was a very successful move.. Ether and stillmatic was also a successful move behind those.

Also somebody gotta explain the "you fell off and nobody would be discussing you if not for the diss" when Cole himself coined him in the big three on one of the biggest rap records of last year.
:dead:

And the last time Cole made waves before that, he suggested people thought he was in third place whereas Kendrick and Drake were superstars.
:dead:

Make it make sense.

For the record, this record only got hot once it hit the bridge.

Because that first half was anemic and lacking in energy and presence.

Like it didn't even sound like the J. Cole that's been killing features the past few years.

Track is ok, but these nikkas don’t have any real beef so it just seems kinda empty from both sides like “ima say some shyt cause people expect me to” :yeshrug:

Exactly. Kendrick and Cole aren’t really trying to go too hard no diddy on each other because they are cool. Their respective camps are tight with each other as well nothing crazy is gonna come from either side. Kendrick didn’t like the linking up with Drake to take subliminal shots. He also doesn’t want to be put in their category because he feels his legacy is greater.

He does have true hatred for :heh: though. That’s what we really want to see.

Cuzz all but have him dap at the end of the song. Slay that nikka like you been slaying everybody else shyt since the pandemic. :heh:

When Kenny does drop some shyt he lyrically knocks nikkas the fukk out like a certain champ did on 7/29. :russ:

Disses are not about "bars". It's about hitting guys with shots that hit their soul. Cole knows Kendrick takes pride in his artistry. So he knows calling two of his albums trash will set him off. Cole wasn't trying to put on some lyrical masterpiece. He just wanted to let Kendrick know he's down for whatever. He dissed his integrity as a man and an artist.

So it may not be bars galore but Cole still escalated the disrespect. Kenny gotta respond :yeshrug:
Say it again bruh, I don't think these nikkas realize this

When you got to pick out 4 bars from a 9 minute long verse you lost.
When you gotta defend a 9 minute rambling bullshyt epic that only gets burn online.

You're taking a tremendous L.

This is the rap equivalent of losing it over a Yngwie Malmsteem solo.

It's the epitome of niche, kitsch, uncultured mid-grade lyricism masquerading as "Deep" or intellectually stimulating.
