Internet hyped cole up to diss his friend when kendrick probably wasn’t even dissing cole and probably didn’t even expect him to take offense.

He'll get clowned, deservingly so. But Cole has been laser focused on his craft for a while now. The rollout for The Off-Season was already in progress. He just dropped a great project and all of the talk around him is about a diss song that he really didn't even want to drop instead of the piff he put out.

This isn't it IMO. He didn't want shyt to get ugly and he obviously didn't go for the KO because like we've all said, there is no real beef or animosity between Kendrick and Cole.

He made 3 mistakes in quick succession. He took the worst angle you could take at Kendrick attacking Kendrick’s albums which really opened up Cole for an uncomfortable conversation about his discography, went too far with a full song when they don’t have any real beef, and failed to cut Kendrick’s head off with the effort because it sounded halfhearted. He should have kept it competitive and bar him up (which is what he claims to want) or just stayed on the sidelines and let Kendrick and Drake have it out.

He may legitimately come out of this looking the worst which was absolutely unexpected 72 hours ago.
