Those Pats teams were not great teams thats why they didn't make it to the Super Bowl. I'll give you the 3 Pats teams that lost in the SB but at least they didn't embarrass themselves like the Chiefs have done twice now. They looked like they didn't belong. Came out flat with no energy. The Packers and Rams gave the Eagles a more competitive game.

In one of those Superbowls they were an undefeated team who set NFL scoring records...then scored 14 and got shut down by a lowly Giants team.

That is embarrassing, I don't care if it was a blowout or not. That's arguably the biggest sb upset all time.

You just wiped it away like it doesn't count. Dudes gotta chill with the narratives.

Giants loss wasn't embarrassing at all. That Giants squad was unfocused and inconsistent for parts of the regular season but talented. That defense especially the front four was nasty when they locked in and they was physical as hell on both sides of the ball throughout the whole playoffs. They went toe to toe with the Patriots last game of the regular season too, that was not fluke.

This is completely subjective. You don't feel one of the biggest Superbowl upsets of all time is embarrassing, ok great.

All of this splitting hairs about "at least they didn't get blown out" or "at least they didn't get embarrassed" is dumb.

KCs run is just as impressive as either the first or second Pats run. We'll see if they can get another one going.

Yep, tough defenses seem to be the problem for many "unstoppable" teams
It’s always about controlling the line of scrimmage. KC lost to Tampa because Mahomes spent the whole game running for his life while Brady was pressured 4 times all game. They nearly lost in 2019 because Mahomes was being chased around the backfield the first 3 quarters too. Big reason why Baltimore lost in 2011 to New England was that Wilfork dominated his matchup with Matt Birk while Birk returned the favor a year later. Both giants vs pats Super Bowl matchups showed this too. The giants got pressure up the middle with their front 4.

The Commanders gave them a more competitive game, too...

For as strong as the AFC is as a conference, all 3 NFC opponents gave the Eagles more trouble. Don't forget, that Gane with Washington was close until the Commanders started fumbling that bytch all over the field...

It actually makes sense.

KC isn't some juggernaut. They are very beatable but most teams choke. Refs get talked about but even when other teams get favorable calls, they don't do shyt. Chiefs get a good call, and they're scoring points.

Chiefs haven't really replaced Reek and the OL is "meh." Mahomes/Reid raise the floor but against a team like the Iggles, you need dawgs. KC ain't got enough dawgs. NFC teams aren't scared of KC like the AFC teams are.

Same as with the pats. There’s some glaring holes in the roster that keep them from outright dominating the good teams but they have the coaches that keep them locked in so they never beat themselves. They don’t make many mistakes but if your front 7 can dominate the offensive line, you’re in good shape.
