Nothing I can say that hasn't been said already. The world was in perfect balance. Technology was complimentary but wasn't excessive.

You had to go to a store to see and buy a product, Stores were closed on Sunday's and you had to make sure you returned your movies in order to avoid a late fee. Life was fukking good...

Like was mentioned earlier, we have more than ever now and we're even more shallow, selfish and unhappy compared to when we had less. It actually worries me for my kids to see what they're gonna grow up in.

Random note, the 1995 source awards...:wow::blessed::ohlawd:

nikka it was the highest economic period for Black people. First time we ever saw a Black middle class.

Also, it was the highest rate of Black people graduating high school and going to college. So, you are just making up shyt now. :what: NEG worthy

The high crime rate was just a lingering effect from the Reagan 80's era. Crime started to go down in the late 90's dumbass.

It was the last decade where things in America were normal.

From the 1960's to the 90's you had certain things that were just accepted in America.

You watched cartoons on Saturday morning

You had sitcoms based on families

Blacks had their on form of entertainment fasion and culture that was viable

Kids played out side in the streets (till the street lights came on) Parents would sometimes play cards and drink on the porch.

You knew your neighbors, and a lot of times, were related to your neighbors.

Families had a rep around the neighbor hood.

You actually knocked on ya friends doors to go play

Kids could actually go wonder off in the neighborhood and explore

Gays were gay and there was no need to comment on it (you just kind knew :yeshrug:)

Divorce was still a little taboo, gender roles (for better or for worst) were better defined, and kids out of wedlock was still a big no no.

Hell I remember you couldn't even admit to eat a girl out, now dudes is PROUDLY saying they eat booty.

shyts hella diff thanks to cellphones/internet/24 hour news and 9/11.

-DMP-

Yeah 90s was the last decade of normalcy and the old school vibe. It used to have this special kind of soul that things were naturally developed. Now everything, even cartoons are now soulless and CGI all the damn time.

Thread was going great until this post :rudy:

You obviously are too young to remember the 90s. Even my parents who are in their 60s who came up in the 50s, 60s, and 70s, say that the 90s were a great decade even tho they say the 70s were the GOAT. They say it was way better than the 80s and everything has been a wrap since 9/11. Its crazy that people that age say a lot of the same shyt going on in this thread
