I remember I saw that late night sex shyt on my TV guide and was like :krs:

I was soo disappointed when I saw what it actually was. Still watched tho.

-DMP-
Being a youngin and watching "Real Sex" on HBO on the late night tip....making sure I didn't get caught by my parents...:ohlawd:

And all of that was unattractive old people naked out in some ranch in cancun or something.

Then there were all of those b-movies on HBO and cinemax (known as skinemax back then) that just happened to be terribly bad with some tittays as saving grace...:whew:

I dont understand how the 90s could be so dope and what followed after that just went more and more downhill. If someone told me in the 90s that technology would have advanced to the level it has now, I would have said send me to that era right now, but its just not what it should be.

I just. dont. get it.

I mean everything that people wished for in the 90s has come true in terms of development of technology, but nothing has that same feel anymore. Technology has advanced but everything just feels ..... numb

music isnt the same because you can get any song, any album at a click of a finger

relationships get tiresome because your in contact with your partner 24/7

we have the internet that can literally give you ANY PIECE OF KNOWLEDGE you require at a click of a finger, yet people are just obsessed with twerking, fights, funny videos and just dumb shyt in general

everything has just become so, so numb
This.

As the years pass, the 90s are slowly but surely becoming a memory. To us who actually lived through them, it seems so familiar, yet so distant at the same time.

The 90s were awesome for so many reasons. The Cold War ended. The Berlin Wall fell. After two years of Bush Sr, we had Clinton in the White House. The economy was great. Television and Movies were undergoing a brilliant revolution which led the way for the current standard we have today. The internet was there, but it was so shytty to use that there was no point and not everybody had that shyt anyways. If you were anywhere between a adolescent to a teenager during this time it was absolutely kick ass. We didn't have to worry about terrorism, there was still a World Trade Center, and the thought of us even being in a war wasn't even a thought in our minds. Music, Art, Culture, Fashion, and Technology all merged in such an amazing way that made the 90s exciting.

And to top it all off...MTV still played music videos!

My years during this time were spent buying cassettes (then later cd's), watching Nickelodeon and MTV after school, skateboarding, watching skate VHS videos, reading issues of Thrasher and Transworld skateboarding,
So, in this thread, let's share our memories of the 90s...and feel free to post your favorite pictures, things, and stuff from that era.

Example #1

L.A. in the 90s. Classic footage.

Example #2 50 cent riding a BMX bike through the hood back in 1997. Way before the fame

Example #3 Music videos really came into their own this time.
I'll break down the great cinematography in this video.

Great edits, and 1:04 is so 90s it hurts.

One of the best threads i ever made.
:mjcry:

how about
low unemployment and affordable housing :mjcry:

my :flabbynsick: cousins who graduated college in the mid 90s, got a job right out of school with no experience and were renting for like 8-900$ a month :sadcam:

now average rent in the city is over 3k a month and internships require 5-10 years experience :damn: :pacspit:
