It was the last decade where things in America were normal.

From the 1960's to the 90's you had certain things that were just accepted in America.

You watched cartoons on Saturday morning

You had sitcoms based on families

Blacks had their on form of entertainment fasion and culture that was viable

Kids played out side in the streets (till the street lights came on) Parents would sometimes play cards and drink on the porch.

You knew your neighbors, and a lot of times, were related to your neighbors.

Families had a rep around the neighbor hood.

You actually knocked on ya friends doors to go play

Kids could actually go wonder off in the neighborhood and explore

Gays were gay and there was no need to comment on it (you just kind knew :yeshrug:)

Divorce was still a little taboo, gender roles (for better or for worst) were better defined, and kids out of wedlock was still a big no no.

Hell I remember you couldn't even admit to eat a girl out, now dudes is PROUDLY saying they eat booty.

shyts hella diff thanks to cellphones/internet/24 hour news and 9/11.

Damn, after 9/11 we seemed to have entered a different and darker world :mjcry:
The 90s had a fruitful innocence to them. And I think much of it (I'd say alot of it actually) had to do with the fact that were weren't online 24/7 and the internet wasn't as developed as it is now.

I just think of it like this; Literally every type of thought that has ever been thought, every single experience that could possibly be experienced by humans (male of female) of any and every economic background, race, age, etc, every single type of opinion that everyone and anyone has ever had, every single bit of information that has ever been collected or written down, every event that has ever happened in human history...is now on the internet and accessible to anyone and everyone at any time. We're now aware that the human experience is complex and all of those complexities, differences, variances, and whatnot is all online. It's honestly as if the fourth wall has been broken down with people giving up their privacy willingly in exchange for internet fame and we can get a peak into the mind of any type of person in the world anywhere...and some of the thoughts and opinions that have been put forward on the internet is disturbing. It's like watching a visual history of our beginning and end.

Some stuff, we we're just better off not knowing...hell, even looking at this thread, I wish I could go back to the 90s cause I didn't know what I do now, and frankly I think I was better off that way sometimes.

I've seen Blockbuster already posted but maaaaan.
There was nothing better than your folks declaring Friday or Saturday a Blockbuster night.
They would rent their movie and rent you a videogame or two.
Might even grab you some candy at the checkout and if they didn't feel like cooking, they ordered a pizza when you got back home.
:ohlawd:
Gamefly, Red Box and Netflix just ain't the same.
