The first time my girl saw my TV she was mesmerized. She started watching all kinds of random shyt on Netflix just cause it was in 4K. Looked like a kid watching porn for the first time. There is definitely a difference.

I bought my mum a 50 inch 4K LED TV in 2017. My eyes took a week to adjust. At the time I had a 32 inch 1080 joint. I couldn't go back at that point. Bought myself a 43 inch 4k a month later.

Watching 4k blu ray on my Xbox One S.

phones can do it now, but many of the newer non-flagship phones dont do it because its kinda useless on a small screen. on smaller screens all that matters really is pixel density or pixel per inch

this is why a steam deck resolution of 720p still looks solid on that small screen.



also, on good monitors or tvs with high refresh rate, you can notice the difference a lot. I game on a 1440p setup with gsync and 144hz refresh rate and its night and day compared to 1080p. A great 4k monitor with a system that can handle 4k output with high refresh rate will be very noticeable
