Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Is it safe to assume that people who Love Game of Thrones were fans of Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter movies?

I feel like Game of Thrones is like the adult version of those type of fantasy movies...

And the fact that it's a Sci-Fi fantasy show, I can't put it over the Wire, Sopranos, and Breaking Bad

I didn't like either of those, the fact GoT is a completely unbelievable world with all this fantasy shyt yet they have made it seem real with history is why I give it the edge. It's easier to make a drama in a real world setting than it is to pull off what GoT has done.

Forgot about its fantasy setting but the characters. NONE of the characters in those three shows are on the level of the characters in GOT. GOT has SO MANY main characters with so many points of views and yet it makes us care for each and everyone of them and yet they get killed off at any minute. Any other show would have failed at that. Before this season and especially during the earlier seasons we did not know who REALLY was the main character.

That's the genius of the show... anybody can get it because the show doesn't just revolve around 1 person. When Ned Stark got bodied in Season 1, I was looking at the screen in shock like...

:picard: :wtf:

I was on some real what the fukk just happened shyt

:russ:

And it's been like that numerous times throughout it's run. So many epic moments and gut wrenching deaths to characters that you were rooting for.

The Sopranos was overrated as hell to me, plus GoT being a fantasy show with an unbelievable world is just harder to do than a show/movie about a criminal family.

Yea I never got the sopranos hype, Breaking Bad was my previous favorite but this surpassed that a while ago. Next season we about to witness feature film length episodes :wow:

And when the Red Wedding happened I was even more surprised. Thats the thing about Game of Thrones is unpredictable with its MAIN CHARACTERS. Not minor characters but MAIN CHARACTERS that have been developed. Characters like Christopher or Hank for example would have died very early in the season.

Not only that NONE of the three shows[don't care what anyone says] had an antagonist that you wanted to KILL like Joffrey. If so then please tell me... I did not despise Phil Leotardo like that if anything I lowkey was sometime rooting for him.

GOT is right behind the THE WIRE for number 1. If its last season nails it, it'll have surpassed The Wire.

And there wasn't one for GOT?
No. Fantasy genres are more complex than the mafia genre. You literally have to build EVERYTHING from scratch but more importantly try to make SENSE of everything while explaining how certain things in the world work. The mafia genres take place in a non-fictional world[our world] and the mafia already existed in our world. Mafia genres can build upon that and more, and more importantly they don't have to explain/make sense of everything in the plot.

George Martin had to define the ENTIRE world of Game of Throne including the geography and little shyt with how money works in that world. The creator of the Sopranos did not have to do all of that because the story took place in the tri-states. We already KNOW about the tri-states. Fantasy is MUCH more harder. And this is coming from a person who assumed it was easy[because your 'imagination' runs wild].

Think giants and crackers riding CG dragons got something on Sopranos, The Wire, and BB, brehs.

I swear to God, fukk fukking millennials.
What is this retarded logic that a show has to be realistic in order to be considered GOAT tier? I've seen dudes make this sorry ass argument multiple times in here.
